イーロン・マスクCEOのもと、大規模な人員整理が進むTwitterで、社内で用いられているSlackでマスクCEOを批判した社員約20名が「会社のポリシーに違反している」として解雇されたことがわかりました。

Twitterのバックエンドエンジニアだというニック・モーガン氏(@skilldrick)が公開している画像によれば、「Twitter HR」という宛先から、「あなたの雇用をただちに終了させることを残念に思います。あなたの最近の行動は会社のポリシーに反しています」という文面のメールが届いていることがわかります。

勤続12年という岳峣さんも解雇されたことを報告。「こんなに長くいるとは思わなかったし、離れてこんなにホッとするとも思わなかった」ともツイートしています。

インフラ部門のテクニカルリーダーで、Twitter最高レベルのエンジニアだったと評されるMike Cvet氏は、1日に1000万件以上のツイートの配信を担当するチームが2人ぐらいまで減ると言及しました。

ニュースサイト・Platformerのケイシー・ニュートン氏によれば、Twitterにははっきりと異議を唱える社内文化が長い間育まれてきていて、マスク氏がCEOに就任したからといって内部規範が変わったわけでもないため、今回の解雇は突然のものだとのこと。
