MicrosoftがAmazon Appstore Preview経由でWindows 11向けに1000以上のAndroidアプリを提供開始

Microsoftが予告していた「Windows 11でAndroidアプリが実行可能になる機能の公開プレビュー版」がリリースされました。Amazon Appstore Previewを利用して、1000以上のアプリやゲームがWindows 11で使えるようになっています。

Amazon Appstoreのおすすめアプリが表示されているMicrosoft Store。

たとえば、その中の1つでiOS・Android向けの人気ゲーム「Subway Surfers」の個別ページはこんな感じ。

「Get from Amazon Appstore」というボタンがあり……

クリックすると「Amazon Appstore」が開くので、さらに「Install」をクリックすると、Windows 11にAndroidアプリがインストールされます。

これで、AndroidアプリやゲームがWindows PCで動かせるようになった、というわけです。

なお、本機能はベータチャンネルでのテストを含めて「PCの地域設定が『米国』になっていること」「米国設定のAmazonアカウントを所有していること」などの条件を満たしたアカウントを対象に提供されており、日本の一般的な環境では機能を利用することはまだできません。
