In this study, we focused on trace elements in seminal plasma (the liquid part of semen) and serum, and developed a new infertility evaluation method. We measured the concentrations of 20 types of trace elements in seminal plasma and serum, and attempted to classify them using machine learning. We confirmed that the group with low concentrations of phosphorus and arsenic and high concentrations of other trace elements had a higher rate of natural conception within one year of starting infertility treatment than the other groups, indicating the possibility that the infertility evaluation method we developed is effective.
