According to reports, Apple is developing an improved version of its entry-level MacBook Pro, which could be released as early as the first half of 2027.
According to Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who is well-versed in Apple-related leaks, Apple is planning to make its new 14-inch MacBook Pro a 'distance' from the design of the rumored touchscreen MacBook that Apple is developing. The touchscreen MacBook is expected to be released in late 2026 or early 2027, and Bloomberg reports that this touchscreen MacBook will have a notch at the top of the screen, similar to a Dynamic Island.
Furthermore, it was reported in April 2026 that the release of MacBooks with touchscreens may be delayed until early 2027 due to a shortage of semiconductors.

As of the time of writing, the entry-level MacBook Pro is the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 processor, which was announced in October 2025.

Apple is working on developing the M6 as its new Apple Silicon, and according to Bloomberg, Apple completed the upgrade of its entry-level MacBook Pro with the M6 a few months ago. This 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 will have the same design as the 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M5 and is scheduled to be released sometime in 2026. The new entry-level MacBook Pro with the new design is expected to be released around the same time as the M7.
In addition, Bloomberg also reported on a new iPad Pro that Apple is developing. The display sizes of this new iPad will be the same 11-inch and 13-inch as the current models, but Apple is developing four models and is currently testing them at the time of writing. The release date for this new iPad Pro is expected to be around spring 2027.
The latest iPad Pro model at the time of writing, the M5-equipped iPad Pro, was released in October 2025.
