Apple could launch three new 'Ultra' devices in 2026

Apple announced new products in March 2026, including the iPhone 17e , iPad Air with M4 , MacBook Air with M5 , MacBook Pro with M5 Pro/M5 Max , Studio Display XDR , and MacBook Neo . Furthermore, Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, who is well-versed in Apple-related information, reports that Apple will release at least three 'Ultra' class devices in 2026.

Garman outlines three Ultra-class devices that will be released in 2026:
・Foldable iPhone
Garman has previously reported that Apple is planning a clamshell (vertical) foldable iPhone.

According to Gurman, the foldable iPhone will be priced at $2,000 (approximately ¥310,000). Gurman said the 'Ultra' name will be used to differentiate it from other iPhones thanks to new technologies such as a larger inner screen and display sensor. It's unclear whether the model name will actually be 'iPhone Ultra,' and it's possible it will be more clearly called 'iPhone Fold.'
・AirPods with built-in camera sensor
The new AirPods, which have been rumored to be coming in 2024, are said to have built-in camera sensors that will enable advanced spatial recognition.

Because of the built-in camera sensor, the new AirPods will likely be priced higher than the current AirPods Pro, making them a potential flagship model in the AirPods series. Since Apple already offers the AirPods Max, an over-ear noise-canceling headphone, Gurman said it's entirely possible the new AirPods will be called 'Ultra.'
Touch-enabled MacBook
Apple is reportedly developing a new top-of-the-line MacBook with a touch-enabled OLED display.

According to Gurman, this new model will be the flagship of the next high-end MacBook, and the adoption of OLED is expected to make it even more expensive than the current MacBook Pro. Gurman describes this MacBook with a touch-enabled OLED display as the 'MacBook Ultra,' summarizing that 'it will not replace the MacBook Pro with the M5 Pro/Max, but will be an ultra-premium model positioned above it.' However, it is not yet decided whether Apple will actually use the 'Ultra' name, and it is possible that the official name will remain MacBook Pro as before.
At the time of writing, the professional desktop Mac Studio is available in models equipped with the M4 Max or M3 Ultra, but it remains to be seen whether a model equipped with the M5 Ultra, which exceeds the M5 Pro/Max installed in the MacBook Pro, will be released.
