Review of the cooperative card game 'Lemures' in which beautiful girl sisters sneak into a mysterious old castle and capture a super-difficult dungeon.

Domino

Games , known for its ' Blade Rondo ' series and ' secret of eden ' series, will release the collaborative card game ' Lemures ' on Friday, December 3, 2021. It is said that it is a super difficult game where up to two people cooperate to capture the dungeon, so I actually played it.

The package of 'Lemures' looks like this. The main characters are Deluse Jorge Luis (left) and Milmia Jorge Luis (right). The two sisters were born into a fallen aristocratic family, and their sister's adventure led to the fact that her sister, Deluse, went to the old castle in the forest, where many disappeared people were mourning her misfortune.

The number of players is 1-2, the play time is 60-90 minutes, and the target age is 12 years old or older.

When you open the lid, a piece of paper with the words 'Caution!' Appears.

In order to enjoy the game, you need to be careful not to look at the contents of the cards used in the game and set up as written on the paper for the first time.

First, take out the instruction manual.

Next, two parameter boards and a game board used by the player.

Next, gems, karma discs, life markers, and soul markers used during the game.

Gem is a transparent yellow token, shaped like a jewel.

Then remove the card and remove the transparent band. There are 81 cards in all.

Of these, set aside 15 from the top.

The 16th and subsequent cards from the top are divided into enhanced skill cards, dungeon 1st floor cards, dungeon 2nd floor cards, dungeon 3rd floor cards, dungeon 4th floor cards, and ending cards.

Then shuffle the 20 Dungeon 1st floor cards face down and place 10 of them on the 'Moonlight Bath' card. The 11 cards including this moonlight bath card are the 'layer'.

The parameter board when playing solo play with Deluse looks like this. The blue gauge on the left shows the soul point, and the red gauge on the right shows the life point, and the remaining points are displayed with markers. If the life point becomes 0, the game is over. The black token is a 'karma disc' that undermines vitality and soul, and indicates the upper limit of life points and soul points.

From the first 15 divided cards, take out 7 initial skill cards and use them as a deck. In the case of Deluse, the following 7 cards have 'Deluze' written on the bottom right of the card. Remove any excess initial skill cards from play.

Then, wake up the dungeon card and the enhancement skill card and place a hierarchy next to the game board. Distribute 2 gems to the players and prepare for the game below.

First of all, I decided to infiltrate the old castle by myself. The search for the old castle repeats two phases, 'interlude' and 'encounter'. At Intarud, we perform 'meal,' 'strengthening,' and 'exploration.' 'Meal' and 'strengthening' are actions that use gems, but at first we have few gems, so we will 'search'.

'Exploration' draws a card from the level placed next to the game board, reveals it on the game board, and shifts to 'Encounter'. The first card I drew was an enemy card, 'Fiancé Edith'. Judith fell in love with Deluse at first sight and applied for an engagement, but he was the third son of a nobleman who was treated coldly by Deluse. I rushed to the old castle to bring back Deluse who had entered the old castle by myself, but sadly it is recognized as an enemy by Deluse.

If you encounter an enemy during the encounter phase, first choose whether or not to escape from the enemy during the 'escape phase'. If you choose to escape, you will take 2 life points, but you can avoid it by discarding the enemy's card.

While saying, 'It's a coward's job to run away first,' he confirmed that his opponent had only 4 life points and decided to fight without running away. Place the life marker on the game board in position 4.

Next, proceed with the 'start phase'. The battle always starts with the player first, and draws two cards from his deck.

Then, in the 'Main Phase', select one card from your hand, put it out in the 'Play Area' next to the parameter board, and use the card. You must use all your hands during that main phase. Depending on the effect of the card, the order in which you put out your hand will greatly affect it, so it is very important in what order you put out your hand.

This time, first, we will use the 'slash' of physical attack (1).

However, physical attacks do not always damage the opponent. Some enemies have defensive power, and the damage dealt by a physical attack is the value obtained by subtracting the defensive power of the opponent from the attack power of the physical attack. In this case, the physical attack (1) was applied to the enemy with defense power 1, so the damage done to the opponent is 1-1 = 0. In other words, the other party ends up unharmed.

This time, use the 'spark' of the magic attack (1).

Magic attacks deal damage minus the opponent's magic defense. However, there are no enemies with magical defense. In other words, 100% of the magic attacks against the enemy from you will pass. Sparks take 1 damage to your fiancé Judith and reduce your life points by 1.

After using all the cards placed in the play area, move to the 'End Phase', discard all cards and place them next to the deck. If you run out of decks when you draw a card, turn the discard pile face down, shuffle it, make it a new deck, and draw the card. In other words, the discarded card can be drawn again later.

When your turn is over, it's your enemy's turn. The actions of the enemy are written on the card. In the case of fiancee Judith, 'Physical Attack (LP)' and 'Magic Attack (1)' are activated in order. Physical attack (LP) means that the life point becomes the physical attack power as it is, so in this case it is physical attack (3).

Since Deluse has no defense power, it is hit by physical attack 3 as it is. I also received a magic attack (1), and received a total of 4 damage.

Like this, I and the enemy alternately repeat turns ...

I was able to set the life point of the opponent to 0.

If you defeat the enemy, you can get the 'Rewards' written at the bottom of the card.

In the case of fiancé Judith, there are two gems ...

An item called 'Event Seal Secret Book'. This puts the defeated fiancé Judith's card sideways in the play area. The event containment secret book has the effect that only one card from the search can be placed on top. Originally, the card turned over in the search must be processed on the spot, but it is possible to postpone only one secret book of this event and process it during any interlude, which is insanely convenient.

When I got the gems and items, I moved to Interlude again. Here, we will do a 'meal' that allows you to recover 3 life points using 1 gem. A mysterious creature called Moggy lives in the old castle and heals those who visit the old castle, but gems are required as compensation. In other words, gems are indispensable for exploring the old castle with peace of mind.

Use all three remaining gems to 'strengthen'.

The deck that is the cornerstone of the battle with the enemy initially consists of initial skill cards. This initial skill card is a basic performance, so as the enemy gets stronger and stronger, you will not be able to deal with it. Therefore, you can strengthen your deck by incorporating a 'strengthening skill card' with stronger skills into your deck.

'Strengthen' draws 3 cards from the deck of strengthening skill cards ...

Choose one of them and place it on the top of your deck's discard pile. This time, I chose a card called 'Smoke' that says 'You may increase the value of physical attack and magic attack performed during this turn by +2 each'. I chose it because I thought it might be strong to simply raise the price of the card. There are two types of skill cards, white cards and black cards. White cards are classified as 'reason' and black cards are classified as 'instinct'. And when you get the 'Instinct' card, you will take 1 damage to your life points. Be careful as you will be paid the price of powerful skills.

Healed, strengthened the deck, and started exploring again. Then I turned over and came out again with the enemy's card. 'Isn't it exhausting if you fight the enemy twice in a row?', And this is the scene where you want to avoid the battle.

However, it is a pain to take 2 damage if you choose to escape. So, I put the enemy 'Suzume no Koe' that I just pulled on the event seal secret book that I got earlier, and put off the battle. In this case, 'processing the effect' will be a battle, but I thought 'I will fight if I can strengthen the deck more and fight with confidence', 'Suzu ringing'
'Voice of' will be temporarily sealed.

When I returned to the search again and turned over, this time I saw a spirit card called 'The Spirit of Overgrowth Zephy'. This spirit can be attached to an ally by paying 4 gems, and will activate defense (4) on the first turn of battle. Most of the enemy's attacks are physical attacks (LP), and the first attack is apt to cause high damage, so I definitely want to make friends ... but just before I used up the gems with 'meal' and 'strengthening' , To see off. You can choose to get 2 gems by removing the non-friendly spirit card from the field, or to discard it and pass it through. This time I will throw it away.

The next thing I drew was the event card 'Moggy's Teahouse'. This is an insanely powerful card that can be recovered and strengthened ... but it also requires gems. Moggy offers breaks only to those who can afford the gem.

After crying through Moggy's teahouse, the next thing I drew was an enemy card called 'Deep Dive'. As the name says 'BOSS', this enemy card is a boss card and you cannot move to the next floor of the old castle unless you defeat this card. However, I decided that I could not defeat it because it was not strengthened at all, so I decided to escape for the time being.

The following cards are also enemy cards. I decided to fight, thinking, 'If you just run away, your life points will only decrease and you will not be able to capture it!' The eternal house recovers 1 life on your turn, so it's quite difficult, but you can manage to beat it.

Defeating it will increase 1 gem and 1 maximum soul and soul points. Since the initial maximum soul of Deluse is 0, you can finally use soul points here. Soul points can be used during battle, and you can perform a 'drive' to draw an additional hand in your turn for each point you spend in the start phase of your turn. The more hands you can use, the more damage you can do to your opponent, so soul points are the points you want to use when you need it.

Then, when I pulled the hierarchy to the end, the 'Moonlight Bath' card came out. When this card comes out, first of all, 'Sleep' to fully recover life points, 'Prayer' to fully recover spirits and souls, 'Meditation' to remove unnecessary cards from the

deck and reduce it to 7 cards, 'Meditation', Gem Select and execute one of the 'mysteries' that you pay to increase the maximum soul and soul points by 1. In addition, choose whether to stay on the same level for adventure or move on to the next level.

However, in order to advance to the next level, it is necessary to defeat all the bosses. This time I've escaped from the boss, so I'm only allowed to stay on the same level. If you want to stay on the same level, you need to reduce your maximum life point by 2, shuffle the discard cards on the level face down, and stack them on the moonlight bath card again. By staying on the same level, you can reunite with spirits and events that you have abandoned to join due to lack of gems, but reducing your maximum life points by 2 is a pretty tough handicap.

Then, when I explored the first floor of the old castle again, I suddenly encountered the boss 'Deep Dive' that I avoided earlier. Thinking, 'If you don't defeat it here, it will be impossible to reduce your maximum life points again,' and entered the battle. If you deal 1 damage on the first turn, your opponent's life points will be 8. When the enemy's life point reaches 8 or 12, a stun will occur and the opponent will not be able to attack.

I struggled, but I couldn't do much damage, and in a blink of an eye my life points became 0, and the game was over.

Anyway, if you do not strengthen, you can not defeat powerful enemies, you need gems to strengthen, you have to defeat enemies to get gems, and if you fight with enemies repeatedly, your physical strength will decrease in a blink of an eye Life points will decrease as soon as you see it, so it's understandable that the release source, Domina Games, calls it 'super-difficult'. The rules themselves are very simple and easy to understand, and it is strategically important to escape from the enemy even if damaged in the early stages. However, absolutely impossible! Not so much, it is an impression that not only the luck of the card but also the strategy is set to the limit of difficulty that influences the development.

'It's difficult to play solo, but I think it's possible to play powerfully with two players,' so I tried playing with two editorial staff.

My sister, Milmia, loves her sister, Deluse, so she has come to the old castle without permission. Unlike Deluse, which had a maximum soul of 0, Milmia has a maximum soul of 2 from the beginning and can use up to 2 life points.

For example, Milmia drew a swashbuckler and slashing card on her turn. However, Milmia, who thought that this would cause less damage to the enemy ...

I used my soul points to draw an additional hand, so I was able to get a third card.

By dealing a total of 3 damage and having an opponent who can attack other than yourself, you can defeat an enemy with a life point of about 5 without problems.

The event card 'Blood Altar' drawn this time is a card that allows you to recover life points without paying for gems, so you can remove it on the spot and add 1 maximum life and life points ...

Keep it at hand and remove it at any time to restore the life of one player by 6. I decided to keep it at hand this time. Only half of the dungeon cards are added to the hierarchy, and in the case of the dungeon 1st floor card, only 10 out of 20 are in the hierarchy, so the point is that the composition of the cards changes each time you play.

In addition, taking advantage of the reflection from the time of solo play, I put a spirit on my side. This spirit turns a physical attack into a magical attack only once per turn. It is a strategy to do a lot of damage.

Since Deluse is a physical attack subject, this reading was a big hit, and I was able to defeat the boss 'Akatsuki no Triumph' without difficulty.

And the search proceeded smoothly, and in no time I reached the moonlight bath card. Since the boss was only the 'Akatsuki no Triumph' that I had defeated earlier, I was able to move on to the next floor.

The next level consists of 5 out of 10 dungeon 2nd floor cards placed on top of the moonlight bath card.

Enemies that appear on the 2nd floor may be more anomalous or more powerful than the enemies that appear on the 1st floor.

Therefore, we will collect gems, strengthen them firmly, and upgrade the deck.

The boss that appeared on the 2nd floor is 'Goodbye Pseudepigrapha' with 13 life points. Not only will you get 4 gems as a reward if you defeat it, but you will also get 1 life recovery for each player and 3 life points, so this is a place you definitely want to defeat.

Here, Milmia spends soul points to perform a drive that draws an additional hand, and attacks repeatedly. Since 'Smoke Smoke' can make +2 physical attack and magic attack once each, in the following cases, physical attack (3) and defense (2) with 'Swordsman', physical attack (1) with 'Dance Strike' And defense (2), magic attack with silver bullets (4). The total physical damage received by 'Goodbye Pseudepigrapha' was 2, and the magic attack was 4, so I was able to reduce my life points by almost half at once.

The hierarchy will go further and the cards will be strengthened ...

Only the boss will appear on the 3rd level.

The deck is strong enough to do a lot of damage in one turn ...

The boss 'Stars that shine more than anyone' encountered in the 3rd level had a powerful SP that would launch a physical attack for only half of his life when stunned.

However, if you stun, the damage caused by physical attacks will definitely decrease compared to normal times, so consider adjusting the order in which you issue cards so that you can reduce your life points from 12 to 8.

By discussing with each other and attacking with a powerful card, I was able to easily defeat 'the star that shines more than anyone else'.

The rescuer, Judith, came out after searching the third level again with peace of mind, 'Isn't it possible to clear this with a margin?' For some reason, Judith, who reappeared with an angelic appearance, was confused by all the sisters, saying, 'You ... were you the fiancé who just chased Deluse? Why are you an angel?'

Moreover, even though he claims to be his fiancé, he shows a high murderous intention to attack with two stages of physical attack (LP) and magic attack (2) in one turn.

The first attack is from Deluse, which has a high life point. Only the first hit is heavy anyway, so I prayed if I could draw a defense card ... but my hand looks like this. Even if I wanted to drive, I couldn't draw more hands because I used both soul and spirits, and Deluse squeezed out the voice of giving up saying 'No, it's over ...'.

Since the rescuer Judith has a defense power of 1, the total damage is 1 for physical attack (2) and physical attack (1). Since my life point is 8 and I am stunned, I can escape the attack and survive.

Milmia adds a hand by driving and repeats attacks.

This was able to do a lot of damage to Judith, but ...

After that, Deluse couldn't draw the defense card again and was defeated. Since the life point of Deluse has become 0, the game is over at the 3rd level. It was the first time for two players to play, so it took about an hour and a half to play. The dungeon level is up to the 4th floor, and if you clear all of them, you will reach the ending.

Actually playing, the difficulty is high even with two players, but it may be a little easier than solo play in that you can cooperate and help each other. Even so, there are cases where you are in a difficult situation in an instant if you are unlucky with your card or if you make a mistake in choosing an action. Since it is a deck-building type game, it is basic to incorporate powerful cards into the deck and perform compression, but it is also important to 'add and draw a hand with a drive using soul points', only card building It is also important how to manage gems and souls, not. The dark world view is firmly created, and the sense of accomplishment when you have a hard time clearing the hierarchy is considerable. The card composition of the hierarchy changes with each play, so it is a nice point to have high replayability.
