I tried using 'Sanscadre', a media player for online distribution that can continuously display images, movies, and PDFs on one screen.

Due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection, many people have more opportunities to participate in online meetings. In online meetings, we often make presentations using screen sharing, but switching software to show different types of files such as images, movies, and PDFs is a big hassle. Therefore, I tried to easily display multiple types of files using the media player 'Sanscadre ' that can register images, movies, and PDFs on a simple screen and display them in the order you like.

GitHub --ueokande / sanscadre: An online-aware media player helping your screen sharing with a frameless window.

I made a media player 'Sanscadre' that can be used for online distribution --Folioscope
https://i-beam.org/2020/08/02/sanscadre-release/

The distribution page of Sanscadre looks like this. There is a download link at the bottom of the screen, scroll down to the bottom.

Sanscadre is compatible with Windows, macOS and Linux. This time I will use it on Windows, so click 'sanscadre-0.2.0-win-portable.exe' to download it.

Sanscadre is software that does not need to be installed, so you can run it by simply double-clicking the downloaded file.

When the security warning screen is displayed, click 'Run' to start Sanscadre.

The startup screen of Sanscadre looks like this. When you register a file, a list of files is displayed on the left side of the screen, and the contents of the file are displayed on the right side.

To register a file, drag and drop the file you want to register in the area marked 'Drop you files here' on the right side of the screen. This time I dragged and dropped the PDF file.

Then, the page list of the registered PDF file was displayed on the left side of the screen.

In addition, try registering image files and movie files. In addition, Sanscadre is

developed by Chromium-based software framework Electron , and it is said that it can read any image / movie format supported by Chromium.

After registering all the files, you can rearrange the display order of the files with the mouse.

Also. If you double-click the boundary between the right side and the left side of the screen ...

The registered file will be displayed in the full window. If you use the window sharing function of the meeting app in this state, you can show the registered file to the other party.

Also, by right-clicking on the screen, you can call up the screen size adjustment function that allows you to change the window size to 'Standard (4: 3)' and 'Widescreen (16: 9)' in one shot.

If you move the mouse cursor to the outside of the Sanscadre window, the title bar will disappear like this, so you can make a presentation while showing a simple screen. If you click the icon displayed at the bottom left of the screen, the file list screen will be displayed again.

When I actually used Sanscadre, I could register images, movies, and PDFs in one window, so I could show the files I wanted to show without switching windows, which was a perfect media player for online meetings. Also, the pages of the PDF file can be easily rearranged, and it is easy to insert another file between the pages, which seems to help reduce the preparation time for online meetings.
