Previous articleSo I installed XJP 2 on Ubuntu Linux and loaded the Aozora bunko file in text format. Next, I will show you how to convert the data of Aozora Bunko to images on Windows and read it with "NetWalker".
As you can see in the image above, you can hold the NetWalker with one hand like an actual book, you can read and write, you feel less discomfort, you will be able to concentrate on the content of the book.
table of contents:
· Install image viewer "Comix" on NetWalker
· Use "Blue P" on Windows to convert the data of Aozora Bunko to images
· Browse on NetWalker
Details are below.
Reading using Comix is like this. By using the wheel function of the optical point, you can send and return the page just by getting on with your fingertips like this. In doing so, it was possible to better control by raising the sensitivity of the mouse and lowering the acceleration.
Let's see how to install and configure.
■ Install image viewer "Comix" on NetWalker
Comix is an image viewer specialized for viewing electronic comics. It is also possible to view the images in the ZIP file. This time I will use this to read the Aozora Bunko.
Select "Add / Remove" from "Application" in the upper left.
Let's make the display "all available applications" and search with "comix". Double click on it and specify installation.
Click "Valid".
Click "Apply Changes".
Click "Apply".
Enter the password you entered when logging in and click "OK".
Installation begins.
Click "Close" when finished.
■ Use "Blue P" on Windows to convert the data of Aozora Bunko to images
To read the Aozora library in Comix, convert the text to PNG image on Windows. The tool to use is a tool for outputting the text file of Ahn Bunko format in PNG images, abbreviated "Blue P" by Campaware. The site of the author is here.
Aki-no-kan - "Tool for outputting text files in Aozora bunko format as PNG images, abbreviated" Blue P "
Click "Get file". Let's unzip it when the download is over.
Let's start the software by clicking on AOPn.exe in the folder which was unzipped. Installation is unnecessary.
When starting up, click the "Browse" button to the right of "Input text file" and specify the file of the blue sky library you want to convert. Next, click the "Browse" button to the right of "Output directory" and specify where to store the converted image file.
Next, set the style of the image to be output.
Select "User Defined" and click "User Defined Details".
This time I set it like this:
Image size: 600 × 1024
Vertical writing
Body font @ MS P Mincho size 22
Ruby font @ MS Gothic size 11
Page number font @ MS Gothic size 10
Line spacing 14
Column 1
Character 2
No page number
Margin above 72 Right 64 Down 76 Left 48
Moreover, by changing the image size, it becomes possible to display with not only NetWalker, but also devices with all kinds of liquid crystal such as iPod and digital camera. The liquid crystal on the back of the recent digital camera has become larger and the order of the image is fast, so it may be used as a reading terminal.
When you are done, click "Convert".
In the case of a 137-kilobyte Aozora Bunko, conversion ends in about 20 seconds. The capacity after conversion is about 4.4MB.
Transfer the generated file to NetWalker via microSD, network, etc. If the characters can be changed after conversion, please select another character code from "character code" and try again.
■ Browsing on NetWalker
Let's start Comix. Start up with "Applications" → "Graphics" → "Comix".
When starting up, click "File" -> "Open"
Select the file to be opened like this and click "Open".
It opens like this.
Rotates the image 90 degrees counterclockwise.
Check "Keep rotating state" checked. Let's press full-screen display by pressing F key.
Use arrow keys to move left, right or space key to move page, right / above or BS key to return page. When holding with the left hand, it is convenient to place the body and advance the page with the space key. Because the overall size is small, reading can be enjoyed in a form quite close to the actual paperback book.
PC that requires Windows separately from NetWalker is required for image conversion. Therefore, it is not possible to read the text of the blue sky library style obtained on the net immediately. In the case of raw text, I think that it is better to use it in various ways with the feeling that it reads using XJP 2 earlier ... ....
