Claude Fable 5 is now available with some subscription plans.

Anthropic has announced that Claude Fable 5 will be available as part of their Max and Team Premium plans.

Anthropic has offered three types of AI models: the high-speed 'Haiku,' the balanced 'Sonnet,' and the performance-oriented 'Opus.' The Claude Fable 5, released in June 2026 , boasts even higher performance than Opus.

Claude Fable 5 was initially released as a pay-as-you-go model, and a campaign began simultaneously with its release stating that it would be available as part of a subscription service until 4 PM JST on July 8, 2026. However, following instructions from the US government, Claude Fable 5 suspended its service from June 13, 2026 to July 1, 2026. Taking this service suspension period into consideration, an extension was announced on July 8, 2026, the original end date for the subscription period, until 4 PM JST on July 13, 2026.

After numerous extensions, on July 18, 2026, Anthropic officially announced the rollout of Claude Fable 5 as part of its subscription service. Going forward, users will be able to access Claude Fable 5 up to 50% of their Max and Team Premium plans.

The Max plan is a premium plan for individual users, and it comes in two versions: the Max 5x plan at $110 per month (approximately 17,900 yen) and the Max x20 plan at $220 per month (approximately 35,800 yen).

The Team Premium plan is a monthly plan for groups costing $100 (approximately 16,300 yen).

Anthropic explained the changes to Claude Fable 5's service, stating, 'Because demand for Fable is difficult to predict, we are rolling out subscription plans in stages. We have expanded access multiple times as we have secured additional capacity.' They added, 'For the plans that use Fable most intensively, we will standardize access at 50% usage.'
