I ordered almost 1kg each of ultra-cheese pizza, fries, and fried chicken from Domino's Pizza's 'Domino's Mega-Portion Festival.'
Domino's Pizza, the pizza delivery chain, is holding a limited-time 'Domino's Mega-Portion Festival' from April 24th (Friday) to May 10th (Sunday), 2026, offering ' Almost 1kg Ultra Cheese ,' ' Almost 1kg Potatoes ,' and ' Almost 1kg Fried Chicken .' The nearly 1kg Ultra Cheese, nearly 1kg Potatoes, and nearly 1kg Fried Chicken I ordered have arrived.
I opened the lid.
The nearly 1kg Ultra Cheese pizza is an XL size with a diameter of approximately 40cm. Almost the entire pizza is covered in cheese, leaving only the crust.
You can see that one slice of pizza is larger than the iPhone 16 Pro, which has a longest side of 149.6mm.
According to Domino's Pizza, they top their pizzas with 'about 10 cups worth of mozzarella cheese' before baking.
When you lift the pizza, the cheese succumbs to gravity and hangs down. Rather than stretching, the cheese seems to tear under its own weight. When you taste it, a rather salty and distinctive cheese flavor spreads in your mouth. I thought that eating just cheese would get boring, but surprisingly, it's an addictive taste that makes you reach for another slice. One of the editors who sampled it commented that 'it would probably go well with a change of flavor, like with Tabasco.'
This is what the nearly 1kg fried chicken, a new addition to this year's 'Domino's Mega-Portion Festival,' looks like. A very strong garlic aroma fills the air.
The batter is crispy and light. The meat is juicy, but the fat is rendered off just right, so although the total weight of almost 1kg makes it seem like a very heavy portion, it actually tastes light and refreshing.
I also opened a nearly 1kg bag of potatoes.
These potatoes, cut into large pieces with the skin on, are simply seasoned, allowing you to enjoy the natural flavor of the potatoes. However, because they are so simple, you might get tired of them after a while, so it's a good idea to have ketchup or pepper on hand to change up the flavor.
The aroma of fried chicken and cheese drew in the GIGAZINE editorial staff, who gathered in droves. We were worried whether we could finish such a massive amount of pizza, fried chicken, and potatoes, but six hungry male editors reached out and devoured it all in an instant. The portions are quite large, making it a perfect menu item for a large party.
