ChordCraft is a free music composition tool that lets you check and create chord progressions from your browser

When composing a song, not only the melody but also the chord progressions that support that melody are extremely important. However, there are countless chord progression patterns, and searching and referencing them can be quite a hassle. ChordCraft , which can be used for free from your browser, is a web app that allows you to create and edit chord progressions with a simple and intuitive UI. Even if you don't have an instrument at hand, you can check and edit various standard chord progressions, and you can also export them to MIDI files.

You can select the key and scale from the top right of the screen.

You can also change the BPM and volume by adjusting the sliders at the top of the screen.

The progression displayed is IVmaj7→III→Ⅵm7→I7. Click the 'Listen' button to play the chord progression in the key and scale you set.

In Voice, you can set the base note, inversion, and octave of the chord. Once you've changed the settings, click 'Apply.'

Clicking 'Diagram' will display a diagram showing where to play that chord on the piano or guitar.

The 'Diagram Settings' allows you to display diagrams for piano, guitar, and MIDI pad.

Clicking 'Show Circle of Fifths' displays a circle of chord root notes arranged in ascending perfect fifths.

You can add a new chord by clicking the '+' between chords. In this example, we added a IIIm7 after an IVmaj7.

In this way, you can create new chord progressions based on the Maru-Sa progression. The chord progressions you create can be exported as MIDI files, saved as projects, or shared on platforms like X (formerly Twitter).
