A share transfer agreement was signed on Monday, November 11, 2024, for the Nojima Group, a major electronics retailer, to acquire approximately 93% of VAIO Corporation's shares. As a result of this agreement, VAIO will become a Nojima group company.

According to announcements by VAIO and Nojima, Nojima has signed a share transfer agreement to acquire shares in VAIO Corporation and VJ Holdings 3 Corporation, which holds VAIO shares, from Japan Industrial Partners' fund 'Japan Industrial No. 4 Investment Limited Partnership' and other parties, and to acquire shares equivalent to approximately 93% of VAIO's issued shares. The acquisition price is said to be 11.2 billion yen.



The share transfer is scheduled to take effect on January 6, 2025. After the share transfer, VAIO's company name, representative director, executive team, business operations policy, customer relationships, and brand trademarks will remain unchanged.
