AI Shopping Guide is a feature that automatically displays relevant products in search suggestions based on the user's needs.

For example, when you select the TV AI shopping guide, you'll see a selection of recommended products based on popularity, reviews, and price. In addition, below the product list are categories such as 'brand' and 'purpose' to classify the displayed products.

According to Amazon, the AI Shopping Guide uses a large-scale language model built on AWS's generative AI framework,

Amazon Bedrock , to analyze product information, specifications, reviews, and trends. Generative AI displays product descriptions and recommended points in text, allowing users to quickly understand the features of the product.

You can also ask Amazon's AI chatbot for shopping, Rufus , to answer any questions you may have while shopping. The more the AI in the AI shopping guide shops, the more it learns information that will help users make purchasing decisions, and the more accurate the products it presents.

At the time of writing, the AI shopping guides are available for over 100 products, including TVs, headphones, running shoes, and skincare. Amazon says, 'The generative AI learns the attributes, brands, and terminology of each product, continually ensuring that the information is always up-to-date and relevant to Amazon's vast product lineup.'

The AI Shopping Guide will be available in the US first, and will be available on iOS and Android mobile apps and on the mobile website. It is unclear at the time of writing whether it will be available in Japan.
