I tried McDonald's autumn limited menu 'Fragrant Fluffy Tsukimi', 'Tsukimi Mac Shake Custard Pudding Flavor', and 'Kinako Mochi and Anko Tsukimi Pie'

In addition to the limited menu 'Tsukimi Burger' and 'Cheese Tsukimi' that McDonald's offers every autumn, the ' Hojun Fuwatoro Tsukimi ' sandwiched with scrambled eggs and the limited-time sweets ' Tsukimi Mac Shake Custard Pudding Flavor ' and ' Kinako Mochi and Anko Tsukimi Pie ' were released on Wednesday, September 4, 2024. 'Hojun Fuwatoro Tsukimi' is characterized by its buttery aroma and smooth texture, so I tried eating it to see for myself.

The autumn seasonal treat 'Tsukimi Family' will be available for a limited time from Wednesday, September 4th! | McDonald's Official

I came to McDonald's.

The menu panel promoted limited autumn dishes, including the mellow, fluffy Tsukimi.

I bought one right away. The takeaway paper bag had a silhouette of a rabbit gazing at the full moon on it.

The package for the rich and fluffy Tsukimi (520 yen including tax) looks like this.

The bun is slightly yellow and fluffy and chewy. Smoked bacon, cheese, and patty peek out from the side.

Creamy tomato sauce between the bun and smoked bacon.

Scrambled eggs were sandwiched under the patty.

When I tried it, the taste of scrambled eggs was added to the fried eggs, making the egg flavor even richer. The bun had a chewy texture, and the scrambled eggs and buns gave off a buttery aroma, and the smoked bacon gave off a fragrant aroma, making it taste like a luxurious breakfast.

I'll try the Tsukimi Mac Shake Custard Pudding Flavor (S size, 190 yen including tax).

When I opened the lid, it was a yellow color that looked just like custard. When I drank it, it had the sweetness and aroma of custard cream, and a fragrant sweetness like caramel in the background, and it was definitely a 'drinkable pudding' shake. As the temperature of the shake rose, the sweetness stood out and it felt a bit heavy, so I recommend drinking it while it's ice cold.

This is the Tsukimi Pie made with kinako mochi and red bean paste (190 yen including tax).

The outside is baked crispy like other McDonald's pies.

I wanted to see what was inside, so I cut it open with a knife and looked at the cross section. When I ate it, I could clearly taste the flavor of the kinako, and it was a Japanese-style dessert. However, the sweetness of the bean paste was not very strong, so it didn't have much of a distinctive character as a dessert.

And as a sauce for McChicken Nuggets, the limited-edition 'Yuzu Shichimi Tartar Sauce' was available, so I ordered it.

The spicy chili pepper and the refreshing scent of yuzu were felt, and it felt refreshing even though it was tartar sauce. However, the editorial staff who ate it with me commented, 'It's not bad, but I don't know what's so Tsukimi-like about this.'

The 'Fragrant and Fluffy Tsukimi,' 'Tsukimi Mac Shake Custard Pudding Flavor,' and 'Kinako Mochi and Anko Tsukimi Pie' will be available for a limited time at McDonald's stores nationwide from Tuesday, September 4, 2024.
