Duelists of Eden is a game that takes place after the previous game,
By watching the video below, you can get a rough idea of what kind of game Duelists of Eden is. The opponents in the following games are human players who live somewhere in the world.

When you start Duelists of Eden for the first time, a tutorial will begin. Using the character 'Saffron', you can learn how to move the character and use spells in a total of 6 tutorials. Below is the battle scene of Duelists of Eden, the blue 4x4 tiles are the player's own base, and the red 4x4 tiles on the right are the enemy's base.
The number displayed at the top of the screen and below the character is your physical strength. You win by attacking and reducing your opponent's health to 0.
'Spell' is displayed at the bottom left of the screen. There are various types of spells, such as those that perform 'attack' and those that perform 'recovery.' One spell is automatically placed in each of the 'A button' and 'B button' slots at random from the spells you put in your deck. will be replenished. The number '1' inside the frame represents the mana consumed by the spell, and the numbers '1' and '6' outside the frame represent the amount of damage dealt to the enemy.
The 'deck' is displayed to the left of the spell. When a spell is used with the A or B button, spells are replenished from the deck in order.
The blue bar displayed to the right of the spell is 'Mana'. It is consumed by using spells and 'weapons' described later, and basically recovers over time.
In addition to ``moving'' and ``using spells,'' there are several operations that players can do. One is 'Dodge', which uses 1 mana to avoid enemy spells. The activation time of Dodge is short, but if used properly, it is possible to dodge by seeing the opponent's attack motion.
Another one is 'shield'. Shield is a skill that uses the number on the 'shield bar' below the health bar to expand and defend against enemy attacks.
While the shield is deployed, the numbers on the shield bar are consumed at a rapid rate, so you cannot keep it deployed forever. Additionally, if you receive damage that exceeds the number of shield bars remaining while deploying your shield, you will enter a 'shield break' state and be stunned for 2 seconds.
In addition, by releasing your shield at the moment you are hit by an enemy attack, you can activate a 'parry' and prevent enemy attacks without reducing the number on your shield bar. In this way, it is possible to avoid damage by using 'shield' or 'parry', but it does not prevent abnormal status.
Furthermore, each character owns two 'weapons'. Saffron's main weapon is 'Sparkler', which allows her to fire a bullet that flies straight ahead by consuming 1 mana.
Saffron's sub-weapon is 'Sparktex'. By consuming 1 mana, you can fire a bullet that attacks 4 tiles in a cross pattern. These weapons can be used at any time during battle. Since the characteristics of weapons are completely different depending on the character, strategies such as including as many spells as possible in the deck that make use of the character's weapons are very important.
After completing the tutorial, you will be redirected to the home screen. There are five game modes you can play in Duelists of Eden: Ranked Match, Unrated, Training, Custom, and Local.
There are a total of 15 characters that can be used, including ``Saffron'' and ``Selyse'' who appeared in the previous work, as well as ``Harissa'' who newly appeared in this work. Both are unlocked from the start of the game.
The thing surrounded by a red frame is the 'deck'. Each character has a different initial deck prepared, but we recommend that you try creating your own deck from scratch before starting a battle.
However, before creating a deck, you must first understand the spells and the characteristics of each character's weapon. The first option you should choose is ``Training,'' where you can learn both spells and weapons while actually using them. Select the character you want to play, then select 'Training' and 'Start'.
The training screen looks like this. You can test spells and weapons against stationary enemies.
To check the contents of the spell, first click 'Deck display' at the top left of the screen.
Then, almost all the spells that appear in 'Duelists of Eden' will be displayed together. You can put whatever you like in your deck.
The blue number written in the upper left of the spell indicates the 'consumed mana', and the red number in the lower right indicates the 'damage inflicted on the opponent'.
When you hover over a spell, you'll see an animation of the spell being activated, making it easy to imagine what will happen when you actually use it.
After selecting the spell you want to try, select 'Finish'.
Try as many shots as you like.
After completing the training and understanding the characteristics of the spells, the next step is to create a deck. From the home screen, select the character you want to create a deck for and select 'Change Deck'.
Then select 'New Deck'.
Put any spell you like into your deck from all the spells. Any spell can be included in a deck, but the minimum number of spells that can be included is ``up to 8'' and the upper limit is ``up to 10.'' Also, some spells are locked at first, but all will be unlocked once you reach level 10 after playing 10 matches.
After choosing a spell, select 'Sleeve'.
Set your favorite pattern on the sleeve.
The initial name of the deck is 'New Deck', but you can change it to any name you like, including Japanese.
Once you've finished making your deck, it's time to play against others. Ranked matches will not be unlocked until you reach level 15, so first select Unrated and select 'Start Matching.' Note that up to level 10 there is a possibility of matching with the CPU.
After a while it matched with the CPU.
I captured the battle with the CPU in a video.
When you finish a battle, you will receive experience points and points (SP). On the results screen, you can send the greeting 'GG (Good Game)' to your opponent, and you can also select 'Rematch' to play against the same opponent repeatedly.
Once I reached level 10, I was matched with a human player. A real-time battle with a stranger begins.
If your opponent is a human player, there will be a waiting period of about 10 seconds before the battle begins, during which you can check everything in your opponent's deck. If you can predict what combo your opponent will use within this time, you will have a considerable advantage.
I made a video of the battle with humans.
Since the opponent is a real person, the feeling of pleasure when your intended attack goes well and the frustration when your opponent defeats you is completely different from that of a CPU battle.
Once you get used to it, challenge yourself to a 'ranked match.' Ranked matches are season-based, with seven rating levels ranging from the lowest Iron to the highest Master. The top tier's name and rating will also be made public.
The ranked match looks like this. The battle format is almost the same as Unrated, but there is a limit that you can only rematch with the same person a maximum of 2 times.
SP acquired through battles can be used at the 'Shop'.
'Color' that changes the color of the character
'Skins' that change your character's style
You can purchase a 'banner' with SP to change the background image of your profile.
The banner settings screen can be accessed from your profile at the top left of the home screen. You can also receive rewards based on your level progress on your profile.
This time I mainly played as Saffron, but in 'Duelists of Eden' the characteristics of weapons differ depending on the character, so the fighting style also changes greatly depending on the character.
For example, the character 'Cerici' below has 'Fair Frozen', which dashes forward 3 tiles and attacks 3 tiles to the side, and 'Hail Blade', which drops a sword 4 tiles in front and attacks the surroundings when it touches the sword. I have a weapon. Both characters have the characteristic of 'attacking their surroundings,' so they are characters that are compatible with spells that attack enemy territory or attack their surroundings.
The character ``Hazel'' has a weapon called ``Mecha Wrench,'' which creates a block in front of her and summons a turret from the block, and ``Deviate,'' which emits a wave that moves the target it hits upwards.

Since this is an object setting type character, I thought, ``Wouldn't it be strong if I only included spells that produce objects?'' and the deck I built was as follows. It was mostly filled with object-based spells.
When we actually fought, we lost. Although it was nice to be able to place the object, the object's physical strength was low and it was easily destroyed, leaving us unable to do anything due to lack of mana. It might be a good idea to reduce some of the object-setting spells and add some spells that stop movement.
Unlike ``One Step From Eden,'' which was only a battle against the CPU, ``Duelists of Eden'' has transformed into a severe game where you compete against humans to win or lose, so players of the previous game may like it or dislike it. It should be. However, the basic fighting style is almost the same, so I get the impression that this game will appeal to people who played the previous game and thought, ``I wish there were interpersonal battles,'' or to people who haven't played it but like ``Rockman EXE.'' I did.
Duelists of Eden is sold on Steam for 580 yen including tax.
