I tried using Yamazen's hybrid heater 'twinheat Plus fan' which is equipped with a fan and delivers warmth over a wide area.

When using an electric heater, some people have probably experienced the feeling that the only area that gets warm is the area in front of the heater, and if you move a little further away from the heater, the heat doesn't reach you and you feel cold. Yamazen's hybrid heater ' twinheat Plus fan ' is equipped with a fan at the rear that sends out the heat generated by the heater, so it can deliver heat over a wide area. The editorial department received such a twinheat Plus fan, so we actually tried using it.

The outer box of twinheat Plus fan looks like this.

When I opened the box, there was an instruction manual attached.

Inside was the twinheat Plus fan itself and a pedestal for installation.

Attach the main body and pedestal. There are three screws attached to the bottom of the main unit, so first remove them.

Set the main unit in the recess of the pedestal while passing the cord through the hole drilled in the pedestal.

Attach the screws you removed earlier to the pedestal to complete the installation.

The twinheat Plus fan, which combines the main body and pedestal, looks like this.

There are 6 types of buttons and a dial for power and power adjustment on the top of the main unit.

The buttons are touch-sensitive, so there is no click feeling.

On the front are sensor activation lamps, air vents, carbon heaters, and sheathed heaters.

When you remove the guard, you can clearly see that the air outlet, carbon heater, and sheathed heater are installed.

A carrying handle is attached to the top of the back.

There are also air intakes and vents on the back.

The size including the pedestal is 680mm high x 320mm wide x 320mm deep.

This is what it looks like when an editorial staff member with a height of 175cm stands next to you.

The actual weight is 6.25kg.

Let's turn on the power now. First, insert the plug into the outlet.

Turn on the power by turning the power/power adjustment dial clockwise.

Then, the carbon heater in the center emits red light and gradually becomes warmer.

Power can be adjusted in 10 steps between 390W and 1200W by turning the dial. At this time, the LED indicator will light up.

When you press the fan button, the fan on the back starts, distributing heat over a wide area.

In addition, the twinheat Plus fan is equipped with an obstacle sensor on the front, and will automatically turn off if curtains, bedding, laundry, etc. come close to the sensor while you are driving.

The video below shows how I put my hand over the obstacle sensor of the twinheat Plus fan while driving. When the sensor is activated, you will hear an electronic sound and immediately know that the power has been turned off. At this time, the sensor activation lamp lights red.

Next, I checked the heating performance of the twinheat Plus fan. When I measured the temperature of my feet with a thermography camera before they warmed up, it was 26.8 degrees Celsius.

When I turned on the twinheat Plus fan and sat about 1.5m from the heater when it was sufficiently warm, the temperature immediately rose to 37.7℃.

twinheat Plus fan can be purchased at Yamazen's official online shop and is also available on Amazon.co.jp, and the price at the time of article creation is 19,798 yen including tax.
