I tried using Yamazen's compact cooler 'YEC-RD03', which is compact and can be placed on a desktop and exposed to cold air with an ambient temperature of -7 ° C.

The heat wave is getting more and more severe every day, and even if you are indoors, you may collapse from heatstroke, so you can't leave a place without an air conditioner. However, depending on the location, there are rooms without air conditioners, and large-scale construction is required to install a new one. Yamazen's compact cooler ' YEC-RD03 ' is a compact cooler that can be used anywhere as long as there is an outlet, and it is very convenient to use on a desktop. I actually tried using 'YEC-RD03' to see how convenient it is.

The outer box of YEC-RD03 looks like this. The catchphrase is 'Keep your own coolness to yourself.'

The YEC-RD03 body looks like this. The size is 20 cm wide x 19 cm deep x 42 cm high.

Viewed from the front.

The control panel and air outlet are on the front upper part. The operation panel is a touch type.

Suction port on the right side

Suction port on the left side

There is a handle for carrying, a suction port, and a heat exhaust port on the back.

The weight is about 5.3 kg, and if you hold the handle on the back and the bottom, you can carry it around.

The filter frame was removable at the top of the suction port on the back.

The length of the power cord is about 1.5m.

In addition to the main body, there were two parts of the instruction manual and the exhaust heat duct.

Installation is very easy, place the YEC-RD03 and plug the power cord into the outlet.

YEC-RD03 started when I tapped the power icon on the touch panel on the front. No work is required to connect to the outdoor unit, just place the main unit, connect the power cord, and turn on the power.

The following movie is where YEC-RD03 was actually started. You can check the operation sound and the force of the wind.

I took a picture of YEC-RD03 before turning on the power with the FLIR infrared camera.

1 minute after turning on the power. Cold air is coming out of the air outlet, so you can see that the temperature is low. According to the official specs, the cold air temperature is -7°C, which is roughly the range of the specs.

The force of the wind was enough, and when I put a memo paper in front of the air outlet, it fluttered.

The operation sound is quite loud, and when measured with a noise app, it is about 80 decibels at about 10 cm in front of the air outlet. At a distance of about 50 decibels for normal use, the operating noise is at a level that is quite annoying when used in a small and quiet room.

YEC-RD03 is a heat exchange type cooler, so hot air is exhausted from the heat exhaust port on the back at the same time cold air is emitted.

If you place it so that it fits perfectly against the wall, there will be no way for the exhaust to escape, so when installing the YEC-RD03, a certain amount of space is required on the back. However, the temperature of the exhaust is not that high, and when I actually measured it with FLIR, it was about 40 degrees.

Of course, you can exhaust the air directly into the room, but if you want to cool the entire room, you can attach an exhaust duct to the heat exhaust port on the back so that the hot exhausted air can escape outside the room. can be cooled more efficiently.

There are three modes: dry, cool, and fan. The cooling mode and the fan mode can be selected from two levels of wind strength, strong (H) and weak (L). In addition, timer operation is also possible, and you can choose from 1 hour, 2 hours, 4 hours, and 8 hours.

Moisture generated by cooling accumulates in the tank on the back.

Just remove it, remove the lid, and discard the water inside. The structure is simple, so maintenance is easy.

The YEC-RD03 is compact and can be placed anywhere, so for example, you can place it on your desk or at your feet to prevent heatstroke, or place it next to your dresser when applying makeup to keep the air cool so you don't sweat. Useful for Rather than using it for a long time to cool down the entire room, I felt that it was a cooler that met the need for pinpoint cold air in a short period of time.
