A thorough photo review of Sony's ultra-compact video camera 'VLOGCAM ZV-E1' with a full-size sensor
The VLOGCAM ZV-E1, a video camera released by Sony in April 2023, is a very mobile camera that is equipped with a full-size sensor and has a small and lightweight body. I was able to borrow the VLOGCAM ZV-E1 from Sony, so I first took a thorough look at its appearance and grip.

This time, I borrowed a lens kit that included the zoom lens ' FE 28-60mm F4-5.6 '. In addition to the VLOGCAM ZV-E1 and FE 28-60mm F4-5.6, the lens kit also comes with a battery ' NP-FZ100 ', a windscreen, and a strap.
This is what the VLOGCAM ZV-E1 looks like from the front.
The mount is E-mount and it is equipped with a 35mm full-size back-illuminated CMOS image sensor.
The back of the phone has a number of dials and buttons within easy reach of your thumb, and the LCD monitor is touch-enabled with 1,036,800 pixels.
The LCD monitor can be rotated.

Various terminals are mounted on the left side.
When you open the cover, you'll find a microphone jack, USB Type-C jack, SD card slot, HDMI micro jack, and headphone jack. Each cover can be fixed in the open position, making it convenient for inserting various cables.
There are no buttons on the right side. The grip is non-slip.
The top surface is equipped with a multi-interface shoe, a shooting mode switch, a shutter button, a power button, etc.
The bottom is equipped with a battery slot and a tripod hole, which is located towards the front.

However, perhaps because of the emphasis on compactness, the grip is also small.
Also, because it's so compact, there's extra space for the little finger, so one editor with large hands commented that 'you'll want a grip, which is sold separately.'
