How to enable 'Firefox 102' to have a function to cut out URL tracking parameters?
The official version of Firefox 102 was
New Firefox privacy feature strips URLs of tracking parameters

Many SNS etc. add query parameters to URLs to track whether a link is clicked or not. For example, the URL of a Facebook post or ad may look like 'https://www.example.com/?fbclid=IwAR4HesRZLT-fxhhh3nZ7WKsOpaiFzsg4nH0K4WLRHw1h467GdRjaLilWbLs', but the string below this 'fbclid' is the query.
In Firefox 102, a new function 'query parameter removal function' that automatically deletes query parameters when opening by clicking a link or typing in the address bar has been added.
Below is a test page created by Bleeping Computer to test the behavior of this feature. First, in Firefox with the function disabled, click the test URL 'https://example.com/?fbclid=12' with the query parameters attached ...
As expected, the page opened with the query parameters attached. In this case, who clicked what URL could be lost.
Therefore, try enabling the 'query parameter removal function'. First, open the setting screen.
After that, you can select 'Strict' from 'Privacy and Security'.
When I opened the test link earlier, the query parameters disappeared firmly.
To use this feature even in private mode, type 'about: config' in the address bar and click 'Aware of the dangers'.
Then type 'privacy.query_stripping.enabled.pbmode' and click the toggle button on the right to set the parameter to 'true'. Now you can remove the query parameters even in private mode.
As noted on the settings screen, if the privacy setting is set to 'strict', some sites may not be displayed correctly or may not work properly, so if a problem occurs, please use the setting as a basis. If you try back, it may be resolved.
