◆ Addition of functions related to picture-in-picture caption and subtitle display
Previously, even if the YouTube, Prime Video, or Netflix video you watch had captions / subtitles, they were not displayed in Picture in Picture (PiP).



With this version upgrade, captions / subtitles are now displayed on PiP as well. By turning on subtitles in the embedded video player, subtitles are now also displayed on PiP.



We also now support displaying video captions in PiP for websites that use the WebVTT

text track format (WebVTT), such as Coursera.org and Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.

The user can now choose which language to use if the language set in Firefox and the language of the operating system do not match during the first boot after installation.

◆ Multilingual spell checker support
Spell checkers can now check spelling in multiple languages. You can enable additional languages by selecting from the context menu of the text field.

HDR video is supported on macOS 11 and above (using the HDR compatible screen), providing more realistic video content (first from YouTube). No action is required to enable HDR video support, but you should unset 'Optimize video streaming while battery is in use' in advance.

It is now possible to decode AV1 format videos using hardware acceleration on Windows equipped with a GPU that supports AV1 (AMD RDNA 2 excluding Intel Gen11 + / Navi 24 / GeForce RTX 30 series). However, you must have the AV1 Video Extension installed from the Microsoft Store.
