" Chiiori and cherry " which becomes the first feature film original puppets animation movie in Japan was released in slow cinema format from 2016, but it was finally decided to be released nationwide from February 15, 2019. Prior to the nationwide launch, the making picture was lifted.

"Chiori and Cherry" is an adventure fantasy depicting the appearance of a girl chiari who lost his favorite father and had a feeling of loss, facing the shine of life and taking a step toward a new future. Makoto Nakamura who worked on the " Theater Cheburashka " will serve as a director.

The head part of the puppet used in the play is like this. Because it is necessary to move the mouth according to the word and expression, the nose and mouth part are removable parts so that it can be exchanged.

In addition to puppets, props such as furniture, windows and trees blooming in the garden are also very carefully made, and in spite of the much smaller scale than the real thing, it is a realistic picture that makes it not feel at all.

As for puppet animation, shooting was performed while moving the puppet little by little every frame in the manner of frame shooting . Since it is necessary to shoot 24 frames per 1 second of video, I was able to shoot only about 8 seconds a day, no matter how hard I tried.

It is necessary to change every frame from everything from movement of hair to wrinkle of clothes, not just movement of limbs. It seems that it took 5 years to complete from the start of the project of "Chiari and Cherry" to completion until the work is required as detailed as work becomes more disturbing.
