Meta has announced 'Meta One,' a subscription service starting at 239 yen per month, offering additional features for Instagram and other platforms, as well as expanded usage of AI-generated content.
Meta has announced a new subscription plan called ' Meta One ,' which will offer additional features for Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp, as well as expanded AI usage. In addition to individual app plans, there are bundled plans for individuals and creators/businesses, and the basic functions of each app, including Meta AI, will continue to be available for free.

'Instagram Plus,' 'Facebook Plus,' and 'WhatsApp Plus,' which Meta introduced in 2026, are positioned as standalone plans within Meta One. According to Meta, they have prepared more than 50 features and are rolling them out sequentially around the world, with over 15 million registrations including trials. In Japan, the prices for the standalone plans are 319 yen (tax included) per month for Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus, and 239 yen (tax included) per month for WhatsApp Plus.
The details of each plan are as follows:
Instagram Plus: Offers features such as custom fonts for use in DMs and Stories, notifications when specific users view your Stories, and DM previews.
Facebook Plus: Includes Messenger customization, enhanced Reels video analytics, and the ability to send 'Super Hearts' to posts and more.
WhatsApp Plus: You can use exclusive themes, icons, and stamps with effects, and you can pin more chats.
The individual user packages are 'Core' at ¥949/month (tax included) and 'Premium' at ¥2900/month (tax included). Core includes the features of the three individual plans and increases the number of images and videos that can be generated with Meta AI, as well as the usage limit for AI-related features within the app. Premium includes all the features of Core, plus the ability to create even more content, although the specific number of images and videos that can be generated was not specified in this announcement.
Meta's 'Muse' model can be used for AI-powered image creation and editing, as well as video generation. Features like 'Restyle,' which changes the appearance of Instagram Stories, are also included in the expanded usage scope, although Restyle is not available in Japan at the time of the announcement.
For creators and businesses, features such as post management, analytics, and customer support are provided for Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp Business. These include the ability to display websites, locations, and customer ratings on profiles, and the ability to automatically send follow invitations to people who interact with posts. The usage limit for 'Meta Business Agent' for customer support will also be expanded. Pricing starts at 2000 yen per month for the 'Essential' plan, which includes a verification badge, anti-spoofing measures, and expanded usage of Meta Business Agent on WhatsApp. To use the verification badge and other features, you must pass a verification review.
The 'Advanced' plan, starting at ¥5,200 per month, allows you to schedule Stories up to 30 days in advance, add links to regular posts (not ads) and Reels videos, and export analytics data. It also includes features such as granting access to team members without sharing passwords and expanding the number of WhatsApp devices that can be linked. Furthermore, the 'Expert' plan, designed for large teams, is available from ¥15,800 per month (tax included), and the 'Max' plan is available from ¥52,000 per month (tax included).
Meta has stated that it plans to expand its reach to include its video editing app 'Edits' and AI glasses in the future. 'Edits Plus,' which will be available soon, will offer increased cloud storage and AI credits, as well as an AI assistant that uses Instagram analytics to help with content analysis and idea generation.
