Meta's subscription plans are named by adding 'Plus' to the name of each service. For example, Instagram is called 'Instagram Plus.' Meta had been piloting these subscription plans in some regions.

Instagram Plus is a plan that allows you to view posts called ' Stories ' without the poster knowing, and to create an unlimited number of lists separate from the 'Close Friends list' which limits who can see your posts and stories.

Facebook Plus offers similar benefits to Instagram Plus, such as the ability to view Facebook Stories without the poster knowing and extend the expiration date of Stories. WhatsApp Plus allows you to pin up to 20 chats and set premium ringtones.

On May 28, 2026, Meta announced that it would be rolling out these subscription plans worldwide.

While the exact price is unknown, Bloomberg and TechCrunch, citing a Meta spokesperson, reported that 'Instagram Plus and Facebook Plus will cost $3.99 per month (approximately 640 yen), and WhatsApp Plus will cost $2.99 per month (approximately 480 yen).'

Meta also stated, 'We are planning many more services for creators, businesses, and power users of Meta AI. These services may be integrated under a new name, Meta One.'

While details about Meta One have not been revealed, TechCrunch reports that 'Meta AI will be testing two plans for its users: Meta One Plus at $7.99/month (approximately 1280 yen) and Meta One Premium at $19.99/month (approximately 3190 yen).' Both plans will have the same functionality, but the Premium plan will unlock even more computing resources for high-load queries, enabling deeper inference for complex tasks.

For creators, Meta One Essential will be offered at $14.99 per month (approximately 2,390 yen), and Meta One Advanced at $49.99 per month (approximately 7,980 yen). Meta One Essential is the same as the existing ' Meta Authentication ' subscription plan, and includes features such as an authentication badge, anti-spoofing measures, and the ability to add links to other services to content. Meta One Advanced includes all the features of Meta One Essential, plus priority display in feeds, higher ranking in search results, and the ability to automatically send 'follow' invitations to people who have interacted with your content.

Naomi Great, Head of Product at Meta, stated that these AI and creator plans are still in a trial phase, and that the ultimate goal is to integrate them all under Meta One, with continuous updates and expansions planned thereafter.
