The Steam Deck is a portable gaming PC that was released in February 2022, and its display was switched from LCD to OLED at the end of 2023. As of February 2026, the lineup consisted of three models: a 256GB model with an LCD display, and 512GB and 1TB models with OLED displays, and all of these models were out of stock.

According to a Steam Store announcement, the Steam Deck has been restocked and comes in two models: a 512GB model with an OLED display and a 1TB model. There are no changes to the device itself, but the price has been changed due to the increased cost of memory and storage.

The new prices are ¥99,800 for the 512GB model and ¥114,800 for the 1TB model. Previously, the 512GB model was ¥84,800 and the 1TB model was ¥99,800, so these represent a price increase of ¥15,000 each. In Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, purchases cannot be made through the Steam store; they must be purchased through the authorized distributor, KODOMO STATION.

Incidentally, in terms of price increases, the 512GB model is up 17% and the 1TB model is up 15%, but in the US, the 1TB model has seen a price increase of 46%, from $649 (approximately 104,000 yen) to $949 (approximately 151,000 yen).

Also, as expected when stock ran out, the 256GB model with an LCD display has been removed from the lineup and appears to have been discontinued. However, according to the news site PC Gamer, there is still stock of the 256GB model with an LCD display in Australia, which 'is in a unique position where there is still a way to purchase a Steam Deck at a relatively low price.'
