Reasons cited for the price increase include rising material costs, as well as offsetting increased costs at the factory being built in Arizona.

As previously reported, the price increase will be communicated to customers in June 2026, with the final decision to be made in July, and is scheduled to take effect from the beginning of 2027.
Regarding the decision to negotiate with customers and give them time before implementing the price increase, rather than raising prices immediately, industry executives commented that 'they chose a less aggressive approach.'
Furthermore, semiconductor manufacturers Intel and AMD have already implemented price increases, and VIS (Vanguard International Semiconductor), an affiliate of TSMC, has also raised its prices.
