The stellar navigation chart for 'Project Hail Mary,' which depicts the trajectory of the spaceship Hail Mary based on open-source star chart data, is now available.

Using open-source

GAIA DR3 star chart data that maps over 1.8 billion stars in the vicinity of the Milky Way galaxy, along with numerous measurements, the voyage of the Hail Mary, featured in the science fiction film ' Project Hail Mary ' ( released as a movie in 2026), has been revealed.

This is what it looks like when you open the page above.

In the center is 'EARTH,' and then 'TAU CETI (Tau Ceti, the star in the constellation Ceti).' The red dotted line connecting these two points represents the approximate navigation line of the spaceship Hail Mary.

Clicking on 'PETROVA' at the top will display the 'Petrova Line,' a band connecting the Sun and Venus.

You can control the camera's direction by dragging the map, and zoom in and out with the mouse wheel. Clicking 'SOL SYSTEM' in the lower left corner of the screen will automatically zoom in on the solar system.

'TRAJECTORY' focuses on the voyage of the Hail Mary.

Take a closer look at Tau Ceti with 'TAU CETI.' You can also see the orbiting planets and binary star systems.

Clicking 'GALACTIC' will zoom out the camera to show the entire galaxy. Those who enjoyed the original novel or film should definitely take a look at this navigation chart and let their imaginations wander.
