Discord reportedly files for stock market listing
Bloomberg reports that the developer of Discord has filed for an initial public offering (IPO).

Discord is a communication app with features such as text chat, voice calls, and video calls. Users can create and join 'servers' with their own rules. Discord is available on many devices, including PCs, smartphones, PlayStation, and Xbox, and is used for a variety of purposes, including 'voice chat between teams in competitive games,' 'calls while studying or working,' and 'sharing information about software under development.'
Regarding Discord's IPO, CEO Jason Citron said in 2024 that 'we will probably go public at some point,' and in March 2025, it was reported that 'Discord is working with Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase on an IPO.'
According to Bloomberg, Discord has already unofficially filed for an IPO, according to people familiar with the matter. However, discussions regarding an IPO are ongoing, and it's possible that the company may ultimately forgo an IPO. A Discord spokesperson said, 'We continue to provide the best possible experience for our users and are focused on building a strong, sustainable business,' but declined to confirm the IPO filing.
