ROG Xbox Ally X
The outer box of the ROG Xbox Ally X looks like this. It is pronounced 'Aroogie Xbox Ally X.'

In addition to the device itself, the box contained a power adapter, a stand, and instructions.

This is the ROG Xbox Ally X. It looks like a controller split in half with a screen sandwiched in between. The grip is larger than

the ROG Ally , which was released in 2023. It uses AMD's Ryzen AI Z2 Extreme processor and comes with Windows 11 Home installed.

The left side looks like this. The analog stick is surrounded by rainbow-colored lights. Also, the Xbox buttons are lined up to the right of the analog stick.

On the right side, the ABXY button order is the same as on the Xbox controller.

The touchscreen is a 7-inch IPS LCD with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels (Full HD), a maximum brightness of 500 nits, and a maximum refresh rate of 120Hz. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium, allowing you to adjust the refresh rate to match the frame rate. The surface is made of Corning Gorilla Glass Victus + DXC for reduced reflections.

The grip is shaped similar to that of a game controller.

There is one macro button on each side of the back.

On either side of the top are 'bumper buttons' equivalent to the left and right buttons, as well as an left and right trigger. In the center are two USB Type-C ports, a volume control button, a microSD card slot, a headphone jack, and a power button.

The USB Type-C port on the left is USB 4 and the one on the right is USB 3.2 Gen 2. Both ports support DisplayPort 2.1 video output and USB Power Delivery (USB PD).

The right side looks like this. The microSD card slot supports UHS-II.

There are no buttons or ports on the bottom.

The dimensions are 290.0mm wide x 121.0mm deep x 59.73mm thick, and the actual weight is 715g.

It feels like this when you hold it in your hand. The grip is good, but it's heavier than the similarly shaped Nintendo Switch series, so if you're going to play games for a long time, you'll want to put the front side in contact with the tabletop to distribute the weight.

The directional buttons on the Xbox controller have a distinctive clicky feel, but the ROG Xbox Ally X's directional buttons have a softer feel, but still have a certain degree of firmness and are responsive.

The included stand is made of paper.

It looks like this when placed on the stand.

The OS is Windows 11 Home, so you can easily use various Windows applications such as browsers. You can also connect a keyboard and mouse.

ROG Xbox Ally
The ROG Xbox Ally box is white.

Inside the box is the device itself, a power button adapter, a stand, and instructions.

The appearance of the ROG Xbox Ally is almost identical to the ROG Xbox Ally X, except for the color.

The area around the analog stick glows in rainbow colors.

The ABXY buttons have the same color scheme as the Xbox controller.

The screen specifications are also the same as the ROG Xbox Ally X.

Macro buttons are installed on both sides of the back.

The top surface is equipped with an L bumper, L trigger, R bumper, and R trigger, and between them are two USB Type-C ports, volume control buttons, a microSD card slot, a headphone jack, and a power button.

Unlike the ROG Xbox Ally X, the USB Type-C port on both the left and right ports is USB 3.2 Gen 2. Both ports support DisplayPort 2.1 video output and USB PD power supply.

The microSD card slot is compatible with UHS-II.

There are no buttons or ports on the bottom.
