Matsuya's 'Ikura Donburi' with its small salmon roe is three times as big, so the ratio with rice is questionable
Matsuya's ' Ikura Donburi ,' a phantom menu that was only available in stores in 2020, was revived from 10:00 on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, so I went to eat it.

Arrived at Matsuya.
There was a poster for salmon roe rice bowls on display in front of the store.
It takes about 5 minutes from ordering to completing the menu. There are variations such as 'Ikura Donburi', '2x Ikura Donburi' and '3x Ikura Donburi', but this time I went for the 3x Ikura Donburi. There is a note that says 'The rice in the Ikura Donburi is a small portion.'
The bowl has a fairly wide mouth. Here's what it looks like when you hold up your Suica card.
The height of the bowl is lower than the long side of the Suica card.
I put a small serving of beef and rice in the back. When I compared it, the amount of rice in the triple serving ikura donburi bowl doesn't seem to be a small serving.
It's 'triple serving,' so if you collect it, you can eat a heap of spoonfuls like this.
However, the amount of ikura was just enough to barely cover the visible part of the rice, so if you concentrated it in one place, the rice would be exposed.
The rice is not piping hot, but just warm enough to have cooled a little, so you can eat it as is. The ikura itself does not seem to have any special seasoning, so you can add flavor to it as needed using the wasabi that comes on a separate plate and the soy sauce on the table. The ikura is tripled in size, so the total amount is certainly quite large, but the rice also increases accordingly, so your mouth ends up feeling full of rice. I would have liked the option to keep the rice small and get triple the amount of ikura, so that I could be covered in ikura.
In addition, in the case of normal size, it seems that it will be about this size when lined up with pork bowl.

I quickly bought an extra pork bowl and it ended up looking really big.
It's sad that there isn't much
