Review of 'Bluesky network analyzer', a tool that helps you find Bluesky users with similar interests
' Bluesky network analyzer ' is a web app that displays a popularity ranking of 'users followed by people who are followed by the user' by entering the Bluesky handle name. It seemed useful for finding users with similar interests or interesting users, so I actually tried using it.

When you access the Bluesky network analyzer, a username input field will appear on the screen, so enter your username and click 'Analyze'.
Please wait for a while as the calculation process will begin. Note that if you are following a lot of users, or if there are a lot of 'users followed by following users,' the process may take some time.
The tally results are displayed like this. The popularity ranking and user name are displayed on the left, and the number of users following you is displayed on the right.
Clicking on 'Sort by proportion (favours niche accounts)' at the top of the results will switch the display to 'the proportion of following users among all followers.' By default, 'users who are popular with the general public' tend to rank higher, but with this ranking, 'users who are popular in a niche among the users they follow' tend to rank higher.
Bluesky network analyzer also allows you to directly follow each user in the results. To use the follow function, you need to enter the 'app password' for linking with the external app. First, click 'Add an app password to enable follow buttons (optional)' at the top of the screen.
Click 'Go to Bluesky settings to create an app password.'
When the Bluesky app password creation screen opens, click 'Add app password.'
Enter a name and then click 'Next'.
When the app password is displayed, copy it. You will not be able to view the app password once you close this screen, so you should copy it before closing it.
Once you paste your app password into the input field, a Follow button will appear to the right of your username.
In addition, you can also enter the handle names of other users into the Bluesky network analyzer, which makes it easier to search for users with similar interests. However, as mentioned above, if you enter the handle name of a user with a large number of followers, it will take a long time to process, so be careful.
