◆Improvement of 'Copy link without site tracking'
'Copy link without site tracking' is a feature added in Firefox 126 that allows you to copy the link without tracking parameters. Now, if the link does not contain any known parameters, 'Copy link without site tracking' is grayed out.



◆ Playing encrypted media using Microsoft PlayReady
Firefox for Windows can now play encrypted media using Microsoft's DRM technology, Microsoft PlayReady . This feature is compliant with the W3C standard Encrypted Media Extensions (EME) and is said to reduce battery consumption when playing 1080p and 4K 4K Ultra HD content. This feature will be rolled out to some users in stages.

◆Wide Color Gamut WebGL support
Firefox for Windows and Firefox for macOS now support Wide Color Gamut WebGL, which allows for wide-gamut color reproduction. At the time of writing, 8-bit P3 profile is supported, allowing for vivid reproduction of videos, images, and games.

◆Hardware acceleration is now enabled for most SVG filter effects
Most SVG filter primitives are now hardware accelerated in WebRender: feBlend, feColorMatrix, feComponentTransfer, feComposite, feDropShadow, feFlood, feGaussianBlur, feMerge, and feOffset.

◆Support for macOS window sharing function
The new window and screen sharing features are now available on macOS 15 (macOS Sequoia) and later, with macOS 14 (macOS Sonoma) coming soon.

◆Improvements to macOS session restore function
Firefox now starts automatically after a macOS restart if it was running when the restart occurred.

◆ Improved tracking prevention function
When the Enhanced Tracking Protection mode is set to 'Strict,' access to third-party cookies is now blocked. The Enhanced Tracking Protection mode can be switched from the 'Privacy and Security' section of the settings screen.



Changes for developers
- Support for HTTP/2 Push has been discontinued.
-Re-enabled console login for service workers .
-Re-enabled remote device debugging over USB.

◆Other changes
- HTTP favicons will be blocked if they cannot be received via HTTP.
Supports TLS 1.3 post-quantum key exchange mechanisms.
- Supports new certificate compression technology to speed up TLS handshakes.
- `requestVideoFrameCallback()` becomes available on the `HTMLVideoElement` interface.
-Add the 'getCapabilities' method to 'MediaStreamTrack'.
- Adds 'fetchpriority' which allows you to specify the priority of resources retrieved by the browser.
- Disabled the heuristic that allows storage access for some windows.

Firefox 132 also includes several security bug fixes .

The next major version, Firefox 133, is scheduled to be released on November 26, 2024 local time.
