Firefox 129.0, See All New Features, Updates and Fixes
◆Improved customizability of reader view
In the Reader View font settings, you can now adjust the spacing between letters and words and change the justification method in the 'Advanced Settings' section.
The new theme settings include 'Contrast,' which emphasizes contrast, and 'Gray,' which is based on gray.
In addition, in the 'Custom' tab of theme settings, you can now individually change the colors of text, background, links, etc.
◆ Previews are now displayed when you hover the cursor over another tab
By hovering the cursor over a tab other than the one you are currently viewing, a small preview of the content of that tab will appear, making it easier to see what page is open.
The separate tab preview feature will be rolled out to some users in stages.
◆ Set to use HTTPS as standard
Even if you enter an address that starts with 'http://' in the address bar, it will automatically be replaced with 'https://' and the site will be accessed via HTTPS. If HTTPS is not available, a fallback to HTTP will be performed.
Additionally, on Windows 11, Linux, and Android 10 and later platforms, it is now possible to resolve HTTPS DNS records using the OS's DNS resolver. If an HTTPS record exists, the request will be upgraded to HTTPS, and HTTP/3 can be used without using the Alt-Svc header.
