◆You can now set Firefox to start automatically when your PC boots
In the Windows version of Firefox, it is now possible to set Firefox to start automatically when your PC starts. To enable automatic startup, simply check 'Automatically open Firefox when my computer starts' in the 'General' tab of the settings screen.
◆DNS prefetching now supported over HTTPS
By setting 'rel='dns-prefetch'' in the Link element, you can request DNS name resolution first when loading a page, which can improve loading speed. Until now, Firefox only supported DNS prefetching for HTTP communication, but from Firefox 127 onwards, DNS prefetching can also be performed for HTTPS communication.
◆ A menu for closing duplicate tabs has been added.
If you have the same page open in multiple tabs, you can close all other duplicate tabs by right-clicking on a tab and clicking 'Close Duplicate Tabs' from the context menu.
Clicking 'Close Duplicate Tabs' from the context menu will close only duplicate tabs on that page, whereas clicking 'Close Duplicate Tabs' in the Tab List widget will close all duplicate tabs.
Automatically upgrade mixed content to HTTPS
When the URL of an 'img', 'audio', or 'video' resource on a page retrieved via HTTPS is written in HTTP format, Firefox will now automatically upgrade to HTTPS and load the resource. If the resource cannot be retrieved via HTTPS, it will not be loaded.
◆Improved security of password manager
Starting with Firefox 127, you may need to sign in to your device when entering passwords or opening the password manager.
Changes for developers
