TikTok's 'Smart+' is a system that streamlines the ad buying process within the TikTok app by automating everything from creative development to targeting and optimization.

The system uses AI, but marketers can create and optimize their ads and then choose whether to manage the campaign itself or let the AI take control, which sets it apart from competing solutions, according to news site Digiday.

According to TikTok's Adolfo Fernandez, the AI built into 'Smart+' has learned how to drive successful ad campaigns on TikTok in the past, so advertisers can get 'wins' quickly and with little effort.
