Photo review of Google's genuine noise-canceling fully wireless earphones 'Pixel Buds Pro 2'

Google released the Pixel Buds Pro 2, a wireless earphone with active noise canceling (ANC) function, on September 26, 2024. The Pixel Buds Pro 2, which is equipped with Google's proprietary chip 'Tensor A1' and has twice the ANC function from the previous model '

Pixel Buds Pro ', arrived at the GIGAZINE editorial department, so we first checked out its appearance.

The packaging for the Pixel Buds Pro 2 looks like this. The device comes in four colors, and I bought the Porcelain version this time.

The inner box has a simple design.

When you open the lid, the Pixel Buds Pro 2 appears.

The charging case measures 49.9mm high x 63.3mm wide x 25.00mm thick. Below is a comparison of the size with

the Pixel 9, which is 152.8mm high x 152.8mm wide x 8.5mm thick.

The actual weight of the charging case containing the earphones was measured to be 65g.

The charging case is oval-shaped.

There is a pairing button on the back.

There is nothing on the top.

On the bottom is a speaker grill for the Find My Device feature and a USB-C port for charging.

With the lid open, there is an LED indicator in the center of the front.

I took out the earphones and the inside of the case looked like this.

The earphones were engraved with the letter 'G.'

Top view of the earphones.

The terminal part looks like this.

The silicone ear tips have been removed. The default ear tips are size M.

The protrusions on the earphone body are 'fixing arches' that were added on the Pixel Buds Pro 2.

The official website says to 'adjust by rotating the fixing arch,' but the fixing arch itself does not rotate on the earphone body itself. Rather, it is designed so that you insert the earphone into your ear canal and then rotate the body so that the fixing arch hooks onto the protrusion of the outer ear, making it less likely for the earphone to fall out.

In addition to the charging case and the earphones themselves, a quick start guide and ear tips in sizes XS, S, and L were included.

The Pixel Buds Pro 2 is available for purchase from the official Google store for 36,800 yen (tax included).

I'll be summarizing my experience using the Pixel Buds Pro 2 in my next article, so stay tuned.
