HIDman was created by engineer Andy Rastelli , who explains why he created it: 'Peripherals that support older PCs are becoming harder to find. Our goal is to provide a simple, inexpensive solution that covers everything from the original IBM 5150 to modern computers withPS/2 connectors .'

HIDman supports almost all standard USB keyboards and mice, including some USB game controllers. It can also emulate keyboards from older PCs such as the IBM 5150, IBM PC XT , IBM PS/2 , and Amstrad 's PC1512 and PC1640 . It also supports mice connected to serial ports and PS/2 connectors, and you can easily change the settings from a text editor without any special drivers.

The HIDman looks like this: The part where the green connector is inserted is the USB port, with two USB ports arranged above and below, and to the left of them is the PS/2 connector.

On the back side, from the left, there is a PS/2 connector and a serial port.

HIDman is based on the CH559, a very flexible chip with two USB host ports, and the code is a fork of CH559sdccUSBHost .
