Other rumors include that the Pixel 9 will have an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and will be able to send text messages and SOS calls via satellite .
The Pixel 9 series must be approved by the regulatory authorities of each country before it can be sold. In the application data submitted by Google to the National Communications Commission (NCC), Taiwan's telecommunications equipment regulatory authority, data measuring the size, weight, battery life, charging speed, etc. of all four models of the Pixel 9 series, as well as photos taken by disassembling the device to check the inside of the device, are released.

According to documents submitted to the NCC, the Pixel 9 and Pixel 9 Pro have a 4558mAh battery capacity, while the Pixel 9 Pro XL has a 4942mAh battery capacity. The Pixel 9 has a slight increase in battery capacity from the Pixel 8, while the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL have almost no change. On the other hand, the Pixel 9 Pro and Pixel 9 Pro XL support fast charging at up to about 33W, a slight upgrade from the 27W of the Pixel 8 series.
