The long-running debate over whether a hot dog is a sandwich has finally been settled

According to Cognito Forms, the 'is a hot dog a sandwich?' debate is a common one in the United States, often discussed at picnics or sporting events.

So, starting June 21, 2024, Cognito Forms conducted a survey on its questionnaire form asking users, 'Is a hot dog a sandwich?' and solicited their opinions. Cognito Forms said, 'We want to give participants an opportunity to think about the essence of a sandwich and ask them which is more important: its components or its composition.'

The survey closed on July 3, 2024. The final results showed that about 63% of survey participants agreed that a hot dog is not a sandwich.
