Reddit has announced its own chat AI, 'Reddit Answers.' Reddit describes Reddit Answers as 'a new way for people to get the information, recommendations, discussions, and hot opinions they want on any topic from conversations and communities across Reddit.'

Here's how to use Reddit Answers.

First, enter a question in easy-to-understand language. In the image below, the question 'Is a hot dog a sandwich?' has been entered.

Reddit Answers will then provide you with an answer to your question. The answer presented is a summary of the post exchanged on Reddit. In addition to the text of the answer, it also provides links to the post and community from which the answer was derived, so you can check the conversations that preceded and followed the answer.

The answer screen shows a summary of the answer to the question and links to related posts, with links to related communities below. You can either search for an answer you like from the summary, or you can search for an answer that satisfies you from the related communities.

Another great thing about Reddit Answers is that it gives you access to a community of people discussing the same questions you have, making it easy to find people who share the same passions and interests as you.

Reddit says, 'We all know that Reddit has answers, advice, and perspectives on almost anything you're looking for. AI-powered search is part of our long-term vision to improve the search experience on Reddit and surface faster, smarter, and more relevant answers.'

At the time of writing, Reddit Answers is in early access and is only available to some users in the U.S., and only supports English. Support for other languages and regions is planned for the future, but the implementation date has not yet been decided.
