Character.AI releases 'Charater Calls,' a voice chat app for AI characters on your smartphone, supporting multiple languages including Japanese and English

AI chat service Character.AI has announced ' Character Calls ', which allows you to talk to AI characters through phone calls. At the time of writing, Charater Calls supports multiple languages, including English, Japanese, Spanish, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, and Chinese.

Character.AI is a service that allows you to generate your own original characters using AI, and in March 2024, 'Character Voices' was released, which allows you to create character voices. According to Character.AI, at the time of writing, more than 1 million voices have already been generated.

Charater Calls is a service that allows you to have seamless two-way voice conversations with your favorite AI characters, and is available for free from the Character.AI app.
