A demo video of Interpreter in Teams has been released as follows. Interpreter in Teams seems to be set up by the person listening to the talk.

Viewers should first select 'Language and speech' from the settings menu, then select 'Turn on interpreter.'
Next, select 'Choose interpretation language.'
Select the language in which you want to listen to the conversation. At the time of writing, nine languages are available: Chinese, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, and Spanish. English was selected for the demo.
Once the settings were complete, the word 'Interpreting' was displayed and the voice of the person speaking Spanish was translated into English in a natural way.
According to Microsoft, Interpreter in Teams is a feature for the subscription service 'Microsoft 365', and the public preview version will be available from early 2025. Chief Marketing Officer Jared Spataro said, 'Imagine being able to speak your own voice in different languages.'
According to a Microsoft spokesperson, the feature is designed to reproduce the speaker's message as faithfully as possible without adding any emotion or extraneous information beyond a 'natural voice,' and it can only be enabled if you consent in settings.
In addition to Interpreter in Teams, Microsoft Teams will be adding various other features, including a translation and transcription function that supports over 50 voices to take minutes of meetings, a function to summarize PowerPoint or websites shared on the screen on Microsoft Teams, and a 'Teams Super Resolution' function to improve the quality of video calls with Copilot + PC.
