'Apple Intelligence,' announced during the WWDC24 keynote, is equipped with a writing assistance function, a recording transcription and summary function, and an image generation function. Apple has also partnered with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into iOS 18 , iPadOS 18 , and macOS Sequoia . This allows users to use ChatGPT for question and answer sessions, text generation, image generation, and more.

In addition, according to OpenAI, when you access ChatGPT using Siri, your requests will not be stored by OpenAI, and your IP address will be obscured, among other privacy protection features.

Apple also indicated that it would like to integrate Google's Gemini into Apple products. At the event held after the keynote speech, Apple's senior vice president of software engineering Craig Federighi and senior vice president of machine learning and AI strategy John Giannandrea said, 'Ultimately, we want to enable users to bring the AI models they want to use to Apple products, so they can choose the model they want to use, such as the model that is best suited for creative writing or the model that is best suited for coding. Therefore, in the future, we will integrate various AI models, such as Google's Gemini, into Apple products.'
Federighi also explained why he first integrated ChatGPT into Apple products: 'We wanted to start with the best in the industry.'
It has previously been reported that Apple may adopt Gemini to strengthen its AI capabilities.
