Bluesky now supports 'Kawaii mode' so I've put together a guide on how to switch it on

Bluesky now has a 'Kawaii mode' that allows you to change the logo. When you enable Kawaii mode, you can replace the Bluesky logo with

a cute logo created by Sawaratsuki .

Kawaii mode is a feature added to the web app version of Bluesky, which allows you to change the Bluesky logo on the screen. First, here is what the web app version of Bluesky looks like in its standard state. The official logo is displayed at the top of the screen.

To switch to Kawaii mode, enter the parameter '?kawaii=true' after 'https://bsky.app/' in the address bar and press the Enter key. There must be one '/ (slash)' between 'https://bsky.app' and '?kawaii=true'.

When I switched to Kawaii mode, the logo was replaced with a cute logo.

The logo on the sign-in screen has also been replaced.

If you want to exit Kawaii mode and return to the original logo, just enter 'https://bsky.app/' followed by the parameter '?kawaii=false' and press Enter.

Now the logo is back.

The logo displayed in Kawaii mode was created by Sawaratsuki , a programmer and commentator. Kawaii mode was implemented as follows: Samuel Newman of the Bluesky development team discovered Sawaratsuki's logo on April 30, 2024, and the Kawaii mode code was then merged into the Bluesky main branch at lightning speed.

Mr. Newman posted, 'Now that I think about it, Bluesky didn't have a 404 page,' referring to the 404 error logo created by Mr. Sawaratsuki, so it seems likely that there will be some developments regarding the 404 page in the future.

just realised we don't have a 404 page.........

In addition to Bluesky, Sawaratsuki has also released a large number of logos, including 'Python,' 'C language,' 'Discord,' and 'Nurupo.'

A person who creates cute, high-quality logos related to IT such as 'Bluesky', 'Python', 'Vim', '404', and 'Nurupo' appears, and the Bluesky and React official immediately implements the logo, causing an explosive excitement - GIGAZINE
