◆ OPPO Band 2 opening & photo review
OPPO Band 2 is in a box with a big 'Band' written on it.
There are three contents from the left: the main body, the charger, the quick guide and the safety guide.
The main body looks like this. Approximately 1.57 inch organic EL display (resolution 256 x 402 pixels) is adopted, and the vertically long display is characteristic. The main body size is 45.3 mm long x 29.1 mm wide x 10.6 mm thin (11.4 mm at the thickest part), and the weight is about 20 g for the main body only, and about 33 g including the strap.
The attached strap is made of silicon and can be removed.
'OPPO' logo on the clasp part of the strap.
To remove the strap, it is necessary to insert a thin and hard plate-like object (such as a nail) into the fastener part (the part in the red frame part) at the boundary between the strap and the main body and pull it forward.
After removing the fastener parts, it is possible to separate the strap from the main body.
In the center of the back of the main unit is the blood oxygen level and heart rate sensor. The two dots on the side of the sensor are the charging terminals.
The left and right sides look like this, there are no physical buttons at all.
This is a charger in the form of a cable.
The tip of the cable is as follows.
When the head part of the charger is brought close to the back of OPPO Band 2, it clicks with a magnet. If it does not stick cleanly, change the direction of the head part of the charger OK.

◆ I actually used it
OPPO Band 2 can access various functions by swiping up, down, left and right, centering on the dial. Swipe up for Notification Center, swipe down for Control Center, swipe left for all-day activities, swipe right for workouts, heart rate measurement, and more. In addition, the dial can be changed without a smartphone by tapping and holding.
You can check how OPPO Band 2 is actually operated in the following video. In the video below, 'Change dial' → 'Control center' → 'Notification center' → 'Function list screen' → 'Activity screen' is displayed in this order.
OPPO Band 2 detects the movement of your wrist to check the dial and lights up the display. This is the same as Apple Watch. The following video is a shot of wearing OPPO Band 2 and the second generation Apple Watch SE and turning the wrist. OPPO Band 2 is a little later than the second generation Apple Watch SE when the display lights up. I actually wore the OPPO Band 2 in my daily life, but in some cases the display didn't turn on when I was hitting the keyboard and turning my wrist just a little bit.

◆ I tried using a workout
OPPO Band 2 supports more than 100 sports modes, and can automatically recognize four types of workouts: walking, running, elliptical, and rowing. Other features include post-run heart rate recovery, oxygen uptake, pro tennis mode, heart rate monitoring while running, and high heart rate alerts.
In order to see what the workout function actually is, I tried walking for over 40 minutes wearing OPPO Band 2 and the 2nd generation Apple Watch SE. The actual measurement results are as follows.
・OPPO Band 2
Measurement time: 40 minutes 6 seconds
Walking Distance: 2.88km
Average Pace: 13'53'
Calories burned: 226kcal
Average heart rate: 108bpm
Steps: 4165
Heart rate zones: 28 min warm-up, 8 min fat burning, 0 min aerobic endurance, 0 min anaerobic endurance, 0 min limit
・2nd generation Apple Watch SE
Measurement time: 41 minutes 38 seconds
Walking Distance: 2.79km
Average Pace: 14'52'
Calories consumed: 201kcal (of which active kilocalories 143kcal)
Average heart rate: 108bpm
Heart rate range: 82-136bpm
Altitude climbed: 15 meters
Weather: 35 degrees
Humidity: 49%
The difference in measurement time between OPPO Band 2 and the 2nd generation Apple Watch SE is that OPPO Band 2 detects ``timing when the wearer is not moving'' such as waiting at a traffic light or buying a drink at a vending machine, and measures. Because the time count is automatically paused finely. I actually checked the screens of the OPPO Band 2 and the 2nd generation Apple Watch SE while walking, but the pause of the measurement time of OPPO Band 2 is considerably more severe than the Apple Watch, and it measures accurately. The feeling of being there is high.
Other measured values such as walking distance and calorie consumption do not feel such a big difference. The items displayed on OPPO Band 2 and Apple Watch are different, so it feels like advantages and disadvantages.
◆ Heart rate measurement function
When I measured the heart rate by wrapping the OPPO Band 2 and the 2nd generation Apple Watch SE around the left and right wrists, the values were almost the same. Even if multiple people tried it multiple times, the same value was played out, so it seems that the heart rate measurement function can be said to be at the same level as the Apple Watch.
◆ Health care function of OPPO Band 2
Health-related data recorded by OPPO Band 2 will be displayed on the health screen of HeyTap Health app. Six data are displayed from the top: daily activity, heart rate, sleep, exercise log, stress, blood oxygen level.
You can manage this data on the HeyTap Health app, but you can also synchronize it with '
Tap 'Apple Health'.
Tap 'Link now'. Now you can synchronize healthcare-related data measured by OPPO Band 2 with 'Apple Health'.
People who used Apple Watch in the past and people who use Apple Healthcare can collect more detailed health-related data by synchronizing.
◆ Dial automatic creation function using AI
OPPO Band 2 has about 150 types of dials to choose from, but with the 'AI Coordination 2.0' function, you can automatically create a dial that matches your clothes and items.
To change the dial of OPPO Band 2, tap 'Dial' in the HeyTap Health app.
Then you can select a dial. Tap the dial you like.
Tap 'Set as watch face'. Now you can change the dial.
Tap 'Custom' and tap 'Please try it!'.
Tap 'AI Coordinate 2.0'.
Tap 'OK'.
The camera will start up, so take a picture of what you want to match with the dial (clothes, items, etc.).
Select an area and tap 'Generate'.
Then, it is possible to generate 8 types of static dials based on the photographed photo. If you select your favorite dial from these and tap 'Done', the dial will be generated based on the photograph you took.
Note that it takes a little time to synchronize the dials generated by 'AI Coordinate 2.0'.
If you use the AI coordination 2.0 function of OPPO Band 2, you can generate a dial with a color that matches the fashion of the day, which is a pretty interesting idea. A watch is an accessory that you wear every day, so for those who want to use a smartwatch but also want to be fashionable, it is a function that is likely to stimulate curiosity. However, as mentioned above, there are only 8 types of dial designs generated by AI, and it is a pity that it does not seem to generate various dial designs according to the shape of the photographed object.
Display iPhone notifications on OPPO Band 2
To send iPhone notifications to OPPO Band 2, tap 'Sync phone notifications' on the HeyTap Health application management screen.
Then you can set whether to synchronize notifications with OPPO Band 2 for each application. However, only Chinese apps and some well-known apps can synchronize notifications individually. By enabling 'Other' at the bottom of the screen, it is possible to synchronize notifications of other apps with OPPO Band 2. One of the advantages of using a smartwatch that I feel particularly strong is that it notifies you of notifications by vibrating your wrist, so I recommend that you set up this notification synchronization firmly.
◆ Disadvantages of OPPO Band 2
When wearing the 2nd generation Apple Watch SE (up to 1000 nits) and OPPO Band 2 (up to 500 nits), I notice a large difference in display brightness. The second-generation Apple Watch SE is overwhelmingly brighter, and you can clearly see the brightness of the display, especially indoors. However, when using OPPO Band 2 alone, I never felt that the display was dark or difficult to see.
The functions installed in OPPO Band 2 are workout, workout record, sleep, blood oxygen level, heart rate, stress, daily activity, weather, timer, alarm, stopwatch, breathing, hydration reminder, flash. Only 15 of the lights and settings. It seems to be a big drawback that it is not possible to add third party applications like Apple Watch. Therefore, I felt that the OPPO Band 2 is basically a health tracker-oriented smartwatch that covers all healthcare-related functions.
However, OPPO Band 2 is 'this It seems that it can be said that it is a smart watch full of 'good feeling'.
Advantages of OPPO Band 2
One of the advantages of OPPO Band 2 is that the battery lasts a long time. The battery is said to last up to 14 days without charging. When I actually used it, the battery only decreased from 100% to 95% even if I used it for a whole day, and even if I continued to use it without charging it for two days, the remaining battery power decreased to only 89%. So, if you are traveling for a few days or on a business trip, the battery seems to be enough even without a charger.
And the biggest advantage is the price. In the case of OPPO Band 2, it is on sale at Amazon.co.jp for 7709 yen including tax, so even the editorial staff of Apple Watch users had to think, 'Is this enough?'
