◆ Manifest V3 enabled by default
Starting with this upgrade, the Manifest V3 (MV3) extension will be enabled by default. However, it is still possible to continue using the conventional MV2.
Along with this, the user interface has also been changed to integrate the extension button .
Through this extension button, you will be able to manage permissions for individual extensions.
◆ Improved accessibility of the date picker
The native HTML datepicker for date and datetime input is now keyboard-only, improving accessibility for screen reader users. Users with limited mobility can now use common keyboard shortcuts to interact with calendar grids and month selection spinners.
◆Improved operation method on macOS
The operation of Cmd + trackpad and Cmd + mouse wheel on macOS has been changed from conventional zoom to page scrolling. This avoids erroneous operations such as accidentally zooming while trying to scroll, and also matches the behavior of other browsers such as Safari and Chrome. If you want this action to zoom back to normal, set mousewheel.with_control.action and mousewheel.with_meta.actionprefs to 3 in about:config .

Firefox built for Spanish (es-ES and es-AR) locales now comes with a built-in dictionary for the spell checker.
◆Limited release of Colorways ends
Colorways , which was available for a limited time from Firefox 106, has been removed. If you have saved your active Colorways, they will still be accessible via the 'Add-ons and Themes' menu option.
◆ Firefox View function added
Firefox View 's Recently Closed Tabs section now allows users to manually close or remove URL links from the list. We've also updated the empty state message and graphic components that appear in the Tab Pickup in the Other Devices section and the Recently Closed Tabs section to improve the user experience.
Firefox 109 also includes 10 security bug fixes .
