Experience story that the Google account used for 15 years was permanently banned when canceling the order of 'Google Pixel 7' which bought two by mistake

When I purchased Google Pixel 7 at Google's online store, I made a mistake and returned one of the two purchased, and canceled the order according to the support instructions. A story about the experience was posted on the online bulletin board Reddit.

The issue was reported by Reddit user

justAnotherLedditor . Mr. justAnotherLedditor, who purchased Google Pixel 7 during the Black Friday sale in November 2022 because the device he bought nearly six years ago was about to reach its limit, was double charged to his credit card after ordering. and noticed that two terminals were shipped. I'm not sure if justAnotherLedditor accidentally put two smartphones in the cart or if it happened due to some error.

Anyway, justAnotherLedditor, who contacted Google support and proceeded with the refund procedure, returned one of the two smartphones that arrived. However, the returned package never reached Google.

The boss of the Google support person who investigated for about a week told justAnotherLedditor, ``It seems that the package has been lost,'' but another person said, ``You can

charge back with a credit card. ” and guided. A chargeback is when a credit card holder is unsatisfied with the payment and cancels the order through the credit card company.

Then, when the chargeback was performed as recommended by the person in charge, justAnotherLedditor's account was deleted along with 15 years of usage history. When I contacted Google about this, Google told me that 'the rules determine that if you make a chargeback, your account will be suspended.'

JustAnotherLedditor asked, ``Then why did you recommend a chargeback to me instead of a refund?'' Google said, ``The support person shouldn't have suggested a chargeback, but the rules are in place. It is said that there was no island to attach.

From this, justAnotherLedditor said, 'I tried to do something about it, but Google's support seems to be complete garbage. I looked it up and this ridiculous policy seems to exist on most other platforms. No more. It's crazy,' he commented.

In justAnotherLedditor's post, there was a comment that he had the same experience with the game platform Steam, and there were other companies and services such as Apple , PayPal , airlines , etc. I received a testimonial.
