I assembled Sony's full HD 240 Hz gaming monitor 'INZONE M3' and checked the appearance

Sony released the full HD gaming monitor ' INZONE M3 ' on December 1, 2022. INZONE M3 operates at a high refresh rate of 240Hz and supports variable refresh rate technologies such as NVIDIA G-SYNC and Adaptive-Sync. In addition, there are many functions that gamers want, such as a black equalizer that brightens dark areas and a function that displays a crosshair in the center of the screen. Since such INZONE M3 came to the editorial department, I first checked the assembly procedure and appearance.

The outer box of the INZONE M3 has a large 'INZONE' logo.

Inside the box were the monitor itself, the stand, the legs of the stand, the DisplayPort cable, the power cable, and the screws for assembly.

In addition, instructions, image quality adjustment reports, stickers, etc. were also included.

Assembly of the INZONE M3 can be done quickly with just one Phillips screwdriver.

First, attach the legs to the stand.

It is OK if the stand becomes independent like this.

Next, spread a soft cloth on the workbench and place the monitor on it.

Attach the stand by hooking the claws of the stand into the holes provided on the back of the monitor.

When the claw is pushed into the hole and a click sound is heard, the installation is complete.

When removing the stand, push the black button to unlock and remove it easily.

The stand is equipped with a cable guide, so you can organize multiple cables neatly.

The assembled INZONE M3 looks like this. The NVIDIA G-SYNC logo is placed in the lower right.

There are no buttons on the left side.

Nothing on the right side.

The back looks like this.

The stick and power button used for menu operation and volume control are mounted on the lower right part when viewed from the front.

The input/output terminals are lined up at the bottom of the back. From the left, power input, HDMI 2.1 x 2, DisplayPort 1.4, DP Alt Mode compatible USB Type-C, USB Type-B, USB Type-A x 3, headphone output. Since it is equipped with a DisplayPort terminal and a USB terminal, it can be said that the INZONE M3 is a monitor intended for connection not only with PlayStation but also with PCs.

As mentioned above, the INZONE M3 is equipped with many terminals, but when the stand is attached, the stand interferes when inserting the cable into the HDMI terminal or DisplayPort terminal near the center, making it easy to operate. I could not do it.

The INZONE M3 is equipped with an angle adjustment function of 0 degrees to 20 degrees and a height adjustment function of 70mm. In the image below, the left side is tilted to the 0 degree side, and the right side is tilted to the 20 degree side.

The height adjustment function looks like this. The left side is the highest position and the right side is the lowest position.

I tried connecting INZONE M3 and PlayStation 5. INZONE M3 adopts a black and white design similar to the PlayStation 5 main unit and controller, and there is a sense of unity when placed side by side.

I measured the width of the non-display area of the screen. The upper hidden area is about 7mm.

The left and right non-display areas are about 8mm.

The lower hidden area is covered with a black panel. Since the non-display area on the top, bottom, left and right is narrow, the feeling of immersion seems to be high.
