Framework Laptop starts with the goal of 'rethinking consumer electronics to respect humans and reduce harm to the planet'. The Framework Laptop Chromebook Edition is a powerful, upgradable, repairable and customizable Chromebook that Framework has partnered with Google to combine the best of Framework Laptop with the powerful simplicity of ChromeOS.

The display resolution is 2256 x 1504 pixels and the aspect ratio is 3:2. The processor is equipped with the latest 12th generation Core i5-1240P processor. The default setting is 8 GB of memory and 256 GB of storage, but it can be expanded up to 64 GB of memory and 1 TB of storage.

A camera and a microphone are built in the top of the bezel, and access can be blocked with a hardware switch.

The selling price of the Framework Laptop Chromebook Edition is $ 999 (about 140,000 yen) and will be shipped in early December 2022. It is unknown what will happen to sales for other regions, as it is said that users in the United States and Canada can be booked.
