Twitter provides a function to embed tweets in web pages, and the embedded tweets are displayed in the same layout as when texts and links are viewed on Twitter as shown below.

Until around March 2022, even if the embedded tweet was deleted, only the text was displayed in the same way as a normal quote, but from the beginning of April 2022, if the tweet is deleted, `` 'Blank Tweets' is now displayed.
Twitter officials described the above change 'to better respect people's choice to delete tweets.' On the other hand, there were many dissenting opinions about this change, such as 'it's like tampering with public records' and 'news articles quoting embedded tweets will be full of inconsistent holes.'
Then, a few days after the change was made, the function of 'displaying blank tweets' was abolished, and the conventional behavior of 'displaying as a quote even if the original tweet was deleted' was restored. For example, if you embed 'Tweet that was posted to the GIGAZINE official account on April 7, 2022 and has already been deleted', 'Posted text (Good morning!)', 'Name' and 'User name' will be displayed as citations.

Remi Duhé, a Twitter spokeswoman, said about the removal of the change, 'We are looking for different options based on the feed bag. In the meantime, we decided to roll back the change.' It suggests that specification changes may occur in other ways.
