Microsoft hires former AMD / Intel / Arm / Apple veteran CPU designers



It turns out that Microsoft has pulled chip designer Mike Filippo from Apple as part of an effort to design its own chip.

Filippo's transfer to Microsoft was revealed in his LinkedIn profile. Filippo gained a career as an AMD chip designer for 10 years from 1994, after which he was in charge of CPU and system design at Intel from 2004 to 2009. Since 2009, he has a history of transferring to Apple in 2019 after developing ' Cortex-A57 ', ' Cortex-A72 ', ' Cortex-A76 ' etc. with Arm.
